This place was awesome. Each morning the hostel offered group tours which was great whilst travelling alone. The staff were all very friendly an eager to help. The free breakfast each morning was definitely an added bonus too.

I stayed here for three weeks, which in retrospect would have been way too long to stay in any other hostel. Can't say enough about the staff. I have no idea who the manager is, everyone just seems to go about their job and keep the place super clean (for a really busy hostel. Ria is a gem--go on her...

This hostel was definitely the funnest, and most affordable, I've been to out of all the ones I've lodged in before. The staff was extremely patient and helpful, the rates were extremely affordable, and the activities put together were excellent, joyful, and an experience I won't soon forget!

I came to visit Vancouver for a short two days and I got to see everything on my list because this hostel is right near downtown. It's within walking distance to the shore and Canada Place (where you can get a free shuttle to Capilano Bridge!!) Overall friendly staff and a good stay, I hope to be back to Canada😄🇨🇦

I am a BC resident and this is an ideal accommodation for just one night stay!!.Its location is proximate to the prime spots in Vancouver. Quiet hour is not really peaceful. Some inconsiderate roommate comes back room at 4am and he was noisy.

Hello, and thanks for the overall great review. Unfortunately we can't control roommates too much, except reminding them to be respectful and quiet when they come home. Hope to see you again, Pete

The location is pretty much perfect, there is always something to do and the staff are really friendly and helpful. The only issues are the rooms are very small as are the lockers so there isn't much space for bags etc. The rooms at the front of the building get a lot of noise from the street at night but...

Hello and thanks for the positive feedback. We do offer weekly rates in the winter season which saves you quite a bit of money. At the moment we don't have any plans to improve our breakfast, we feel that it is pretty strong. The six bed dorms do face onto Granville St. and you are correct in saying that they...

Pretty much everything you could want in a hostel. The people are really friendly and eager to make new friendships. The beaver bar downstairs is great and hosts different events each night. They also run other activities which are free or super cheap. They have bagels and fruit for breakfast (and have Vegemite!). I don't have a complaint about anything.

Staying in Granville Street

Neighbourhood Profile
Granville Street
Granville Street spans many, multiple city blocks and has become so fastidiously known for its nightclubs and watering holes that it's fondly nicknamed the city's 'Entertainment District.' Friday and Saturday nights are the most popular and lively, with young revelers taking to the streets in droves and keeping the party going until late. Granville Street, being mostly open to pedestrian-only traffic, has a healthy social life along its main thoroughfares, even outside of its cafes and pubs, spilling onto the sidewalks. The locals are chatty, the shops at its expansive Pacific Centre Mall are trendy, and the whole area seems to be on a sugar rush: in a good way. Exuberance and camaraderie classify this neighbourhood.
