I read about this B&B in a travel book--and as it was my first time to Vancouver, mistakenly thought it was near Granville Island. Wrong! It is in the close-in suburbs of Vancouver. I was told repeatedly by the owner when I called it would be a "5 Star" experience--Wrong again! I paid over $225 a night and was expecting...

It's unfortunate we were not able to connect with you, which is very unfortunate as we are very warm and personal hosts with so much to offer the guests who stay with us, including our time and experience of knowing Vancouver pretty much inside and out. We are not your typical hotel concierge. We can tailor your trip to your...

We had a wonderful stay at the Granville B&B: the owners were very accommodating and generous in information, the breakfasts were good, the suite was spacious, comfortable and clean, and the location very convenient. Thanks again Pam and Randy!

My bride and I stayed at the Granville B&B for four wonderful nights to celebrate our 40th Wedding anniversary. Our suite (The Cedar ) was perfect with every possible amenity. The breakfast selection every morning was great. We explored Bloedel Conservatory , Van Dueson Park and Queen Elizabeth Park. along with a number of great restaurants recommended by our hosts...

My sisters and I reserved two rooms, Birch and Dogwood, for a one-night getaway and couldn't be more pleased. The king beds were very comfortable and the rooms and bathrooms beautifully furnished. The Birch room was a bit quieter, being at the back of the house. Breakfast was substantial, with steel-cut oatmeal as an option. We also had delicious Dutch...

Initially I'd hoped to stay in the downtown area of Vancouver to be close by all of the fun. The great thing about the Granville House is that you are a very convenient (10 minute ride, right outside your front door, 24 hours a day) bus trip away from Granville Island and downtown Vancouver, but in a quiet, relaxing and...

We returned last night from our stay at the Granville B & B, and we left reluctantly. It is such a friendly, relaxing place to stay, and we wish we were there right now! We shall definitely return whenever we are in Vancouver. The breakfast, especially the slow-cooked oatmeal with many condiments and the amazing raisin bread, was fantastic. Making...

We spent two nights of our honeymoon here in the Alder Suite. It was so lovely and comfortable - huge bed, spacious room, spotlessly clean, very quiet and just the right temperature. We particularly enjoyed the jacuzzi tab! We felt so pampered and enjoyed the luxury of it all. Breakfast was fresh and different each day. Our host Randy was...

Granville House literally saved me recently when I was in Vancouver to visit family and spend a few short days at the Olympics. After experiencing enormous difficulties with another hotel, I phoned the Granville in total desperation to see if they could put me up for one night. Very fortunately for me, they could accommodate me and my son. It...

I stayed here whilst spending a week in Vancouver. I know the city quite well, and wanted to stay out of the main downtown area and also away from the chain hotels. Granville House is really conveniently placed, there are bus stops literally minutes away, which take you all the way to downtown via Broadway,4th ave and Granville, and also...

Staying in Shaughnessy

Neighbourhood Profile
Shaughnessy
Residential neighbourhood to the ultra-wealthy, the gorgeous manor houses centred around The Crescent area are a fabled sight to behold. Shaughnessy is Vancouver's most verdant plotted neighbourhood, and its tree-lined streets, walking routes, bike trails, and charming public parks make for an ideal location to spend and afternoon communing with nature. Consequently, it is also the botanical centre of the city, featuring conservatories and an expansive Botanical Garden, taming and sculpting the wild into seasonal viewing areas and enchanting landscapes. Quiet, elegant Shaughnessy excels at providing the Three Gs: Gardens, Golfing, and Galleries.
