This small family owned motel/hotel near the heart of Victoria's tourist district has a lot to like. It is a fully restored 60's era hotel with the 60's feel maintained. It has a functional little kitchenette for the cost conscious. The views are straight out across the strait to the Olympic Mountains and are gorgeous. The staff is very friendly...

Spent 10 wonderful days in this beautiful Retro establishment. everything was very clean and comfortable, in great working condition and the view is fantastic. Staff were amazing, answered all questions and were very friendly. Will certainly stay again.

Room and linens spotlessly clean, bed comfortable, and a fully stocked kitchenette. Although the easy chairs were a little worn, they were comfortable and clean. The view of the ocean and breakwater was spectacular and it was particularly wonderful to be able to have the balcony door open for the fresh air and the sound of the waves. The owners/staff...

The Surf is a vintage 60s/70s style motel with kitchenettes (tiny) and drop-dead views out towards the Strait and Olympics. It was the first place I stayed in Victoria, and I wound up choosing to return (long-term) in that same neighborhood. It's a block from where the cruise ships dock, and abutting a seaside park with walkway that's a dream...

We drove by on numerous occasions and kept saying, "We have to stay there sometime." Well, we booked 5 nights at the beginning of Oct. All the rooms face the ocean and is right across Dallas Road and Ogden Point in James Bay. Cute rooms with a Kitchen. Very, very clean, excellent rates and the staff are SO nice and...

We looked a long time at the Trip Advisor hotel recommendations for Victoria before coming up with the Surf Motel. We wanted to be on the Inner Harbor, but it would be expensive. We chose the Surf Motel because of its views of the Straits of San Juan, and the Olympic Mountains on the other side. Our room had a...

This is a great value motel that has the best view of the ocean, excellent location being walking distance to the inner harbour, beacon hill, fisherman's wharf and so many more attractions. The rooms are very clean with comfortable beds. The staff is friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend surf motel and this is definitely where I will stay every...

The duplex apartment is an ideal setup for family stays and the location is great! Nice park for walks along the coast across the street and plenty of nearby activities and dining options. Very good for the price.

Spent 4 nights at this motel in August. Very clean & nice to have a kitchenette. Older motel but well maintained and friendly staff. Only minor issue is no air conditioning. It gets sun a lot during the day so having the windows open blows the blinds (windy location). Very lovely in evenings though. Great location across street from breakwater...
