The Fort Garry is great place to stay. The building has so much character and the rooms are great. Great bed and pillows. I enjoy my stay every time. The service is good and all staff are very helpful. On one stay in July I stayed in Room 202.

I stated here last year with some friends. I travel for a living so I'm used to staying in many different types of hotels. The lobby is so breathtakingly beautiful. The rooms are nice but not super duper fancy. The beds are very comfortable. They did try to keep some of the historical charm which was nice. The location is...

Very clean, extremely comfortable bed/ comforters.... House coats were a nice touch! Beautiful building! Lots of character !! Reminded us of the chateau Laurier in Ottawa. Very helpful front desk-- superb dowtown location! We walked to the forks marketplace for dinner and breakfast- beautiful dowtown - would for sure stay again

It was built in the grand style in 1913, and so is one of Winnipeg's 'historic' buildings. It has all the aura and facilities you would expect from a top notch smart hotel, so it is a bit formal and not suitable for people who want total informality . A bit on the pricey side, but not put of line...

We stayed at the Fort Gary during our visit for the FIFA Women's World Cup- it was the only hotel we could find with a room available, so we ended up with a suite that was a bit more expensive than we were planning for that trip. But it was worth it! The furnishings are old (**historic**), but that is...

I wish I could give this charming property a 5 start rating but its drawbacks make that impossible. First, the good news: This old building is full of charm and its location is excellent. It's walkable to The Forks, which is an area one must visit. The lobby has been refreshed and is comfortable and attractive. The hotel serves a...

Canada is well-known for these old hotel with the castle-like exterior. Many were once part of the Canadian Pacific railway chain but I don't believe the Fort Garry ever was although the look would suggest it. The hotel was once the place to be on Winnipeg but it isn't any more. It is still charming but there are some short...

This is our 3rd stay at this hotel and we wont stay anywhere else in Winnipeg. The service is exceptional!!! From the minute you drive up with the valet parking and porters to help unpack, walking into the lobby is like stepping into a grand hotel. If valet parking is not for you the underground parking and rooftop parking are...

Headed north fishing with buddies, I booked us at this great old masonry chateau in the tradition of the CPR hotels (Banff Springs, etc.). The rates were good and headed camping, I knew that beds and hot water were better than where we were headed. The hotel has a magnificent exterior. But as you get close, you begin to see...
