This is an old mansion that is simply beautiful. stepping through the front door feels like stepping back in time. Very friendly host and hostess. They have a dinning room that serves breakfast ,lunch(?) ,and dinner. We ate dinner there and had steak and wild blueberry pie .Both were very delicious. They do have rooms upstairs but we did not...

Beautiful historic inn, tastefully decorated, quiet, comfortable, friendly staff, great place to relax. Restaurant on site, excellent food, good service, food well prepared (don't expect it to come out of the kitchen quickly!). The very best seafood chowder ever.

Your site should not advertise this place as a B&B; breakfast is-- or was not, for us-- included with the price of the room, nor was there any response to our weeks-early request for information about breakfast. This rather run-down old house is a place to be treasured by its fans, but avoided by those seeking predictable rooms (e.g., smelly...

We will never return there again... Yes its an old building...yes it does have nice antiques in it...yes some important people did stay there at one time or another...But it COULD use some TLC... the room we stayed in was #24..dust was on the window sills...on the books on top of the fireplace...there was a large crack in the ceiling...

Interesting place. For those who love authentic - this place has kept its original charm. The rooms are quaint with lots of knick knacks. This is not for those who want modern, updated and sterile. Still and all - you can have rustic while still having new mattresses. The bathroom was charming but a little smelly from urine. These are...

The property was well kept, with lovely patio and garden areas outside. It's an old place but its integrity was well maintained. Reception service was slow but friendly. Our room got promoted to a King bedroom for no fee (bonus!). There is no elevator access to the upper level(s). Our room was average in size and beautifully decorated. I ordered...

The in was amazing with lots of antiques and lovely gardens. They had a restaurant attached to the Inn and it had good supper and breakfast for reasonable prices. The Inn keepers were friendly and helpful. We stayed in the carriage House and it could use some updates, but it was pleasant.

Picked the hotel at random on our way from PEI and it turned out to be one of the most enjoyable experiences on our trip. The main building dates from 1850 but is in pretty good shape with all the charms of history you might expect. The highlight was the dinner which surpassed all our expectations. One of the best...

Our plans changed and we ended up staying in Sackville which we thoroughly enjoyed. We spent the night in the carriage house. The room was comfortable and nicely decorated. The grounds and gardens were beautiful. Reviews led us to expect unfriendly service but we found that not to be the case. Overall it was a very nice stay and the...

If you like historical rooms, you will enjoy. Was impressed by the names of famous people that have visited this Inn in the past (Farley Mowat, Peter Mansbridge, etc.). One of the oldest birch trees on the front lawn was interesting. Walking distance to the main street & nearby university. Was with a group, & staff helpful to people's health...
