Bad, bad, bad. I'm a long time Vantage hotel group value club member and this is the first time my club card WAS NOT ACCEPTED at a group hotel !!! It has a "Canada Best Value" signage but they're converting from a Howard Johnsons motel. Thus we were not given our discounts. Wifi would not work. Hotel heavily booked as...

I am yet to find a more disgusting hotel room. The beds we're so extremely worn out, sagging in the middle and when i checked the manufacturer date it was October of 1990! A 26 year old mattress. I awoke with a serious back pain. The room smelled old and musty. The shower had mould all throughout it. The carpets...

It's really in very much in need of renovation, smell bad and very old. The water in shower was going on burning hot to cold, bed hard like hell and extension cord everywhere in the room. Food tasted like old grilled metal tastes, except for the toast. I give a 1 star and that is all I can give. A...

The best thing about our stay was the breakfast and the bed. Breakfast was included in the price and we had 11 choices from the menu. The beds were comfortable and we both enjoyed a good sleep. The wifi was non-existent in our room. We were in a corner and the wifi would only appear at the door. The hotel...

We got married in Saint John this summer and we chose Howard Johnson Fort Howe (now called Canada’s Best Value Inn) as a hotel for all of our out-of-town guests. It was a great! Carol (who is in charge of group reservations) was wonderful helping us to get done a bunch of little things both prior to and during the...

I've stayed here before and decided to go with something I knew would be good. Our house flooded and and we had to be put up at a hotel and had a few choices of one's in Saint John. This is a stressful time for my boyfriend and I and they have been super understanding. The housekeeping works around our...

Overall, I was pleased with my stay at the Howard Johnson Plaza hotel in Saint John. It's not a five-star hotel, but it had all the basics and most of the amenities were up to date. This hotel had the fastest Wi-Fi I've seen at a hotel which was nice considering we didn't have a Canadian data plan while visiting...

We switched rooms, but it didn't help. The carpet in the 1st room was filthy, and the bedding looked 20 years old or more. The 2nd room was mostly better, but I wouldn't step foot in the shower of either room. The bathtubs looked painted over, and the mats they provided were disintegrating and disgusting. We were checked in for...

It was clean. It was in a decent location. It was cheap. Priceline was $62 US and advertised rate was well over $100.00. I described it as comically lacking and my wife disagreed saying it was just phenomenally nondescript. All the little things add up. We were given a room on the first floor with no view and the noise...

I stayed in this hotel for one night. although the name has changed, not much else has. The wifi is terrible. I stayed on the fourth floor and I could only access the sixth floor wifi. I ordered a cot, and it took some time for it to arrive. The pillows were much too soft and the room was stuffy.
