My fiancé and I had our small wedding ceremony at Compton House in February and were extremely happy with the experience. The manager Nicole helped arrange our ceremony and reception and everything was beyond our expectations. The property itself is ideal for photos (both inside and out), and the staff were great in ensuring our guests were served champagne and...

I stayed in the Pippy Suite in Compton House on Saturday, February 11, 2017, and it was my second time staying in this room. The room is spacious, the four post bed is very comfortable, and overall, the room is warm and inviting. Staff are helpful and friendly, and the breakfast the brought us (fried eggs, bacon, toast, tea, juice)...

From the decorations to the staff, everything was amazing. We stayed here for a night at the end of our trip to NL and it was exactly what we needed to help us unwind after a long trip. Every room was decorated differently, was very clean, and had everything we needed to have a comfortable stay. At first the room...

Beautiful heritage home. Rooms somewhat updated. No hosts or check in area. Staff at breakfast could be friendlier which surprised me because Newfoundland is known for friendly people. Food was okay but no options offered.

The booklet in the room said no password required for their wifi but we tried to log onto the internet and it asked for a password.Tried...

I honestly don't know what to think about this place. Yes, the setting is gorgeous and old with all sorts of architecture details. And yes, breakfast is served in the morning. That's where it ends with regards to being a B&B. No one actually lives here, which is what I'd normally expect with a B&B. Part of the charm with...

The Compton House offers a great location near downtown shopping and great restaurants. The rooms are spacious, clean and have adequate conveniences. They have a nice hot shower and plenty of towels! The breakfast is lovely and will cater to gluten free needs.

Stayed here during a recent visit to St. Johns. We were wowed by the room and the staff that treated us so well during our visit. We found the location to be quiet and really enjoyed the breakfast. It was a great way to start our Newfoundland adventure.

Compton House proved to be a fantastic venue for our weekend conference. The guest rooms were beautiful and comfortable with heated floors in some of the bathrooms. The conference room was spacious with lots of light and character. It was quiet and peaceful. My contact, Colleen, genuinely cared about us and our needs. I would highly recommend Compton House for...
