If it's peace and tranquility you long for, look no further. Tranquil Times is situated on the shoreline of Sandy Bottom Lake in Annapolis County. Swim in the pool, bounce on the trampoline or paddle the serene waters of the lake in one of our canoes. Evening bonfires are a hit, everyone loves a hot dog or marshmallows cooked on an open fire. The stars, the stars! Breakfast fit for royalty. You won't want to leave.
This was our first time staying at a B & B and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The hosts are awesome! We had a memorable Anniversary stay! The Breakfasts were delicious, with fresh local fruit. The chocolate cake was amazing! Thank- You Adele!

I booked two nights at this B&B purely on the basis of the excellent reviews thoughtfully provided by other contributors. I liked the idea of being able to canoe/kayak on the lake, weather permitting, so we made it a mini-destination in itself; indeed, I gather that some guests have returned year after year for a whole week of rest and relaxation. Adele is a truly delightful host but contemplating well-deserved retirement herself ere long, so don't be too surprised if by the time you come to book the property has been acquired by someone else, whether to continue operating as a B&B or not. For this reason there is probably little benefit in saying much more, although I have added a couple of photos of the twin/triple room which is probably the smallest and most basic of the rooms available (and has use of a private bathroom rather than being en suite). Worth flagging however that there is nowhere to eat in the vicinity and so guests not wishing to venture as far afield as Annapolis Royal or Digby might like to consider dining at lunchtime or before they arrive. Adele is a dab hand with a cleaver and for guests staying more than one night (or who come prepared) is only too happy to advise where to buy a lobster and then show you how best to chop it up in order to extract the maximum meat with minlmum effort (including from places you didn't know edible meat existed!). Tranquil TImes was an unexpected highlight of our trip, and the historical novel Adele gave to my wife was avidly read throughout the rest of the holiday and is now being circulated amongst friends in the UK, so many thanks.…

Adele and Bob are perfect hosts. They take great care of their guests. This is a lovely and spacious B&B. We loved our very clean and cozy room with a wonderful lake view and a balcony. The breakfast is varied and very tasty. It was great that Adele showed us how to prepare a lobster. Tranquil Times B&B is nice decorated, very well and quiet situated. We definitely would recommend this excellent B&B.

This place is so wonderful that it is hard to add to the unanimously positive reviews, all elements of which we agree wholeheartedly. What stands out most, in addition to the truly tranquil location and accommodations, is Adelle’s and Bob’s warn and giving hospitality. We arrived after a long drive, not having eaten, hoping we could order a pizza. Delivery was not possible, but Adelle called Bob and he picked one up for us on his way in! This is the kind of care the hosts extend. They know the area. Adelle’s chocolate cake is out of this world. And the breakfasts are fresh and delicious. Don’t miss the chance to make Tranquil Times a destination in itself.

it was such a pleasure to spend the past 2 days at Adele & Bob's "highend" B+B by the beautiful lake. We spent the 1st evening sitting around the bonfire, watching the sunset and their cute dogs play. Perfectly relaxing. The place with its spacious bedrooms is very well situated to reach the entrance of the Kemji park or the lovely little towns Annapolis Royal and Digby within 25 minutes. Adele's breakfast was amazing and her recommendations concerning dinner restaurants, activities and whatsoever....were highly appreciated. She is as warm and welcoming as can be. Thanks from Josef and Conny!

It is a wonderful retreat on a quiet lake which makes a fine home base for exploring the surrounding area. The owners are amazing hosts and great food. Want to book a side trip or any activity. They are very helpful in finding you the right package at the right price. We loved the place

Maybe considered a little out of the way but you will not be disappointed. The Hosts, Adele and Bob are wonderful friendly and very accommodating! The home is situated on a lake with a very homey feel, large rooms quiet and beautiful tranquil environment! Breakfast was home made bread French toast with real maple syrup, and real whip cream. Fresh fruit, juices and great coffee! What a way to start the day! When we asked for a suggestion for dinner Bob recommended a wonderful spot in Town and even made the reservation for us. We felt at home and Adele and Bob felt like family. We will tell all our friends and we hope to go back next year. Outstanding job Adele and Bob you are the essence of a great B&B!

Tranquil times has become a "home away from home" for us because Adele and Bob have treated us like family and beyond. They spoil us with gourmet, healthy yet delicious food (Ok. the daily chocolate cake may not be healthy but it sure is a great way to cheat!) The fruit dish is not only delicious, but a work of art and who can get enough of the omelettes and pancakes! (Actually we do tend to eat more than we should but hey....it's a holiday!) They share their home with us with generosity and grace. They have a breathtaking view of the lake which fronts their property and the canoe is always available. The pool is clear and clean for a swim. We return year after year and have met and made many new friends from all over the world at their very special bed and breakfast. The bonfire at night was still going at 1:30 a.m. as we visited with new friends from Belgium this time.. The rooms are all very comfortable and elegant with every amenity you could need. We are always sad when it is time to leave so this time we just added a night!…

This has to be the best B & B ever. Our hosts were the friendliest and most helpful we have ever met. They simply could not do enough for those of us who stayed with them. The food was fantastic, the setting was lovely, and the dogs were fun for our granddaughter. The room was spacious and had a view. The evening firepit was nice as well. We would certainly stay there again if we were to return to this area....you become part of the family!

Gratious hosts - Adel & Bob. Great home cooked treats and breads. Lovely home on quiet lake. Easily accessible to Digby and Annapolis Royal along country roads. Stay longer than one night. Walk along wooded roads and enjoy wild blueberries, birds, and wild life.
