The richness of the atmosphere is so romantic. I love the hospitality and the breakfast is good. Convenient location to the harbour, the central library (a must see architectural attraction). Beds are the best. No elevator the only deterrent. Reasonably priced.

Just returned a few days ago from a quick trip to Halifax. Last time through my daughter and I stayed, and it was so enjoyable, that I returned with my husband for a long weekend. I must say it was as lovely as I remembered. All the staff are friendly, as are the guests. The fact that parking, wifi, and...

Nice setup - friendly front office staff. Barrington road facing rooms rather noisy. Ideally situated in great neighborhood with plenty of good restaurants and nice pubs. Breakfast rather appalling: Bad coffee, no sliced fruit, no proper oatmeal, no bacon ...

This was my second stay at the Waverley. I wasn't sure what my redneck Alberta husband would think of it but he said it was a highlight of our trip to Halifax. First of all it is a grand old building. The furnishings are amazing (hubby said usually only see this kind of furniture in a museum and they won't...

This hotel is a beautiful relic from the past. It's like staying in a museum. Service is very professional and attentive, the breakfast fresh and plentiful and all day tea, coffee and snacks is a very good thing. I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else.

Loved this place. It has a warm, friendly, welcoming atmosphere with shining wooden floors and rugs, in lobby, halls and rooms. The colonial theme has been kept. There is a lounge room for guests with 2 computers. The corridors were warmly and brightly lit, with Victorian furniture along the walls. The rooms also kept to the Victorian theme with the...

Free parking, easy to find, central location within walking distance of most major attractions, bars and restaurants. Friendly and helpful staff. A quick efficient check in. Small but spotless room with everything we needed. The bed, a double room, was...

Stayed here at the beginning & end of Maritime vacation. Ended up with same room as alternative room offered cost more but was no bigger. Old, colonial house - decorated accordingly. Good customer service, coffee/tea available throughout day/night; with munchies like muffins, biscuits after 4pm Second floor room - size was ok, very clean but had smell of old furniture...
