We spent one night in Pictou on our way to Cape Breton. The room we had was well appointed with a large comfortable bed that ensured a good night's sleep. Breakfast is taken at the family table ensuring a very friendly and hospitable occasion. The food was excellent. The only negative was the absence of a kettle in the room.

Our room was very large with a porch with a view of the Sea. The homemade scones and pumpkin muffins that accompanied breakfast were to die for and we were even given some to take with us to enjoy later. Really enjoyed the humor of our host.

We spent 2 nights in the latter part of October. The room was so comfortable - with every amenity that you could easily stay a week and feel right at home. The breakfasts were delicious and the hosts - Michelle and Gail - were delightful. I would not hesitate to recommend this B&B!

Beautiful, comfortable suites that felt more like home than a B&B in Nova Scotia. Michelle and Gail were superior hosts and we really loved the delicious breakfast and fresh baked goods. We also enjoyed the opportunity to meet all the other guests and hear about their travels around Nova Scotia. Don't miss having dinner at Piper's Landing, a short drive...

Evening Sail B & B is a charming place with tasteful Maritime décor. It is a great place to rest after a long ferry ride. We slept well because of the firm mattress - first class quality. Although the shower was kind of tiny, we still rate the entire experience as a 5. Here is why: Our friendly host, Michelle,...

The only negative aspect to our stay at the Evening Sail was that we were only there for one night. Michelle and her mother Gail were meant to be innkeepers. Between them, they have created the perfect atmosphere for the traveler who prefers B&Bs. We stayed in the basement room in the guest house, a walkout room with bedroom, sitting...

What fun we had at Evening Sail! Daughter and mom made us feel welcome instantly. We opted for the smaller, budget room which was charming and comfortable (and en suite). Breakfast was fantastic! So many fresh baked goodies. They gave us each a baggie to take an extra with us.

A wonderful stop on our trip. Gail and her daughter know how to do it well with great attention to detail. They have got it right and understand European tastes as well as North American. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and a lovely large room as well. We had 14 stops on our month long trip and Evening Sail was joint...

Stayed here for only 1 night and we had a room in the guest house not the main house. The room was on the top floor and it was like a little apartment I could live there. Room had a stove, refrigerator TV and nice balcony for dipping wine at night. Bathroom was small just a shower stall but it...

Very plush beds, gracious hosts, outstanding breakfast. Muffins, eggs, pancakes and responsive to special allergy requirements. The gardens need some attention, but if your looking for a clean comfortable place to stay - you found it!! It's a short drive or walk to the waterfront. Limited things to see and do in town, but a short drive to the ferry.
