Budget hotel centrally located on Victoria St, right across from the Sky wheel. The hotel has two floors with no elevator. The room was spacious with two Queen Sized Beds and the bathroom was a good size room with a hair dryer and provided toiletry. Clean, although a little musty when one walks in. Air conditioner took care of that. All rooms are non- smoking. This room had a little balcony however, I could not open the glass door to seat outside. Too bad since the weather was nice and warm. There is parking available, although not too many spots for the whole hotel. .
Location 5 ⭐ - very well located Staff 5⭐ - very kind and friendly Indoor pool 3.5⭐- water not heated but pool room yes missing some ventilation Room 3⭐- ok room dated but does the job for the price Wifi 1⭐ - no signal in our room wasn't able to connect Carpets minus 5⭐ - carpets are so dirty your feet become black in 5 min do not take your shoes off. General the hotel is ok location location and price. I understand it's dated but canot complain for the price we pay but honestly wifi need to be address and carpets are disgusting
It is a clean and inexpensive hotel. The staff were nice enough. Parking was fine. Location was good. But we will not be back. The beds and pillows were awful! We travel quite often and are always looking for an inexpensive place to stay, so we have a lot of hotels to compare to and this one, by far, had the worse beds and pillows! The mattresses were so hard it felt like we were sleeping on box springs. The pillows were flat so our heads were on the hard mattress. We have found many inexpensive hotels that were comfortable so the price is no excuse. We'll look somewhere else next time unless you update your beds and pillows.
Check in was easy, the two ladies at front desk was nice and friendly. We were in our room within 10 minutes. Parking was free. Our room was on the second floor and over looks a parking lot. Room was kind of old. But relatively clean. There is no fidge or microwave. Two beds and they are comfortable. Air conditioning works fine. Location is very good, short five minutes walk to Clifton Hill, 15 minutes to the falls. Close to everything. Not the greatest hotel, but it’s an Econo Lodge, what are people expecting.
Given the price, free parking and excellent location, this motel is really good. The staff are very friendly and helpful, we got extra towels and ice when needed. It is not the Ritz, so don't expect it to be plush, but it is clean. And the indoor pool is clean too. If you have younger kids, it is very convenient for all the activities they love. Also great to come back and chill for an hour if it's hot, or if you need a bathroom break. We got a great rate, so this was excellent value mid-week.
first and last time. room 108 was full of flying bugs. told no other rooms and mamagment not there. didnt sleep due to bugs. Staff came at 9am sprayed room with toxic bug spray while we were in the room with our child, all over towels and the smell was horrible. bathroom fan had YEARS of dirt and grime hanging out. busted and burt out lamps. ac unit full of dirt. family of skunks on patio and blocking our vehicle in. beds hard as a rock. finally changed rooms to 241. better bed and no bugs but long black hairs all over bathroom floor, hair in sink, mold all over shower, same gross bathroom fan, flat sheet on bare mattress-not even a fitted bed sheet. family got in cold pool not knowing we had to walk outside across parking lot to get a pool towel. stayed lots of times at various hotels at the falls NEVER had an issue like this at any other hotel. dont have an issue with outdated decor....but 2 nights of $300 of filth, hair and bugs, just NO. no discount, no refund, not even an apology when we checked out.…
I book this place last minute so I didnt have much choice . Its very dated and extremely dirty .I was travelling with my two Grandchildren and they wanted to sleep in the car !! I pulled back the sheets and there were muddy shoe prints on the sheets there was hair in the bathroom the heat registers had a thick layer of dust . The curtians had some sort of slime on them and I DONT WANT TO KNOW WHAT THAT WAS !!! Over all one of the worst places I have EVER stayed !!
We booked 2 rooms but they can only charge for 1 room at a time and took 20 min over the counter. Old lady really has no proper training and in bathrooms has many hairs and not been updated and i think that's why they don't have any bathroom picture on their website. We had reservations for total 7 adults but only had 2 towel per room. When we complain they were very very rude. Not worth my money. $175 for this is way too high. Please STAY AWAY from this motel.
Close location to attractions and falls. Free parking between check in time and check out time. If you want to park earlier before checking in, it’s $5. If you want to park there after check out, you will pay $5 and have to be gone by 4pm. Room 244 - although advertised that there was individual controlled A/C and heat, there was not. It was boiling in the room. Our room smelled of incense. When I tried to call the front desk about the heat, there was no answer. I called 3 times and even called the hotel directly. No answer. Smelled like someone was cooking in the room down the hall. Pool hours are 11am to 11pm. So you won’t be able to use the pool on checkout day.
I booked a room at the Econo lodge in Niagara Falls Ont for the 27th and 28th of April. When we arrived at 830 pm on the 27th we were told that the lodge would be closed the following day and we would be relocated to an area that would cost us 30+ to cab to and from. We were blown away that we didn't get any notification before this and felt like we should have been contacted in transit. The front desk told us we could take it or leave and find something else. Being exhausted we took the first night but had to find a different place to stay the second night to avoid rediculas cab fairs, we asked about any compensation and were told there would be no compensation for travel since we could leave our car on the parking lot, so we could have parked there just on our anniversary we couldn't have a drink because we would not have to drive. We contacted choice hotels and were placed in a closer hotel, in the Falls are, for the same rate, but it was not dictated to us that there was a $18 parking charge for the second hotel. When I raised concerns I was told this information should have been disclosed but they would not waive it now at check out. All and all our experience with choice hotel was not good and we wont be booking with this chain anymore. All we had was hassle and extra cost. We were without a place to go for 4 hours between check out at one location and check in at the other, we requested that since the move was not our issue we could get an early check in and were told that's not the way it worked. We were told to contact customer service who basically said the reservation and booking were finalized after check in and we would not be compensated for our aweful experience, but they could give me choice points if I sign up for a choice membership and I can get so much towards my next stay... even after I asked why I would ever stay with choice again after this experience. I was forwarded into the choice membership line anyways and hung up from there. Honestly, even with everything we had to deal with, all I wanted was a refund for the parking to have a satisfied customer.…
