We travelled as a family of 3 adults and two children, and booked and paid for a 2 queen & 1 sofa full view suite on the 40th floor, but upon arrival, as many others have mentioned, we were offered an upgrade to 5 bed, 2 bathroom suite on the 39th floor for an extra $100 (£60) per night. As we were travelling with three children and it was my husbands birthday, I did take the upgrade, and it did not disappoint! The room was huge and the view was everything you imagine. The curtains were opened, and we did not shut them! To wake up to the sunrise over the falls was mesmerising. The onsite parking is very expensive, but that is advertised. You can park to unload outside the doors of the hotel, but then we parked at the casino next door, but it's a fluctuating fee, that you only pay on departure. It is per exit, so regardless of whether you are there for 1 hour or three days. We went out on the Saturday and it was $35, but when we checked out on Monday, it was only a $10 fee. We found the staff throughout the hotel to be welcoming and polite at all times, and the hotel itself was clean and well maintained - especially for the volume of guests! The gym was very well equipped (according to my husband) and the pool was a good size with two jacuzzis, and both times we visited, it was very clean and well maintained. Being on the higher floors it can sometimes get tiresome waiting for lifts, and be prepared, the doors do not stay open for long after others have left them! The evening reception was a nice touch, meaning two complimentary alcoholic drinks, and soft drinks and coffee available to help yourself to. The breakfast buffet was OK, but nothing special. The egg/omelette queue was usually long - and quite slow, and we were hoping for Canadian bacon to go with the pancakes, but to no avail. We ate at the Keg on my husbands birthday, and it did not disappoint. The waiter was fantastic and friendly and the steak was immense! We had paid extra for the family fun package, but I would advise anyone else not to, as you don't actually get anything extra for the added cost. We took it as it is advertised that you get $20 vouchers for the Keg & TGI's, which were were planning on going to both, as well as a 5 attraction pass for Fun Zone. We thought with the children, in February, it might be nice to have some respite fun indoors. We ventured over only to be informed it was a $15 + tax admission fee per person - which we were not planning on paying, so walked away with disappointed children. As it turns out, every guest checking in gets given a sheet of vouchers, which includes $30 off the Keg, & $20 off TGI, (so no gain there by paying for the family package), and a fun zone pass but only for 4 attractions, not the 5 on our pass, but with a reduced admission fee of only $10 + tax per person. So the only thing we got extra above every other guest, were WEGO bus cards - which we didn't need as we had a car, or everything was in walking distance. Aside from the disappointment of the package, the hotel is located conveniently within walking distance of the falls, the many restaurants and the casino, and I would recommend a stay here.…
