Pulling up to GWL, my first thought was that I was very impressed - the lodge is beautiful and the grounds well-maintained. The lobby/living room is very spacious, the ceilings are super high, and they really nail that cabin feel. Check-in was very quick and the layout is simple, so our room was easy to find. The room was great, we stayed in a Kid Kamp suite and our son loved the bunkbed. Our upstairs neighbours were a little noisy, but quiet hours were enforced. There is a ton to do here, we stayed three nights and planned to do one day at the Falls, but there wasn't time - we played all day at GWL. The waterpark is really cool, there's something for everyone - a baby pool, waterslides, wave pool, lazy river, and even a bar. The programming for kids was great - our son especially loved the PJ dance parties in the grand living room, there was no shortage of activities outside of the waterpark. The Paw Pass was definitely worth it, especially because we were there for multiple days. Hands down, the most impressive aspect of GWL was their customer service - every "pack member" (staff) greeted us with a smile and said hello, many even stopped to talk to our son, which he loved. We texted the front desk for some new sheets and housekeeping was at our room promptly with our request. I absolutely recommend GWL, however, if I had to do it over again, I would wait until our son was older (he's currently three). He was able to go on the baby slides, but was too short for the others and a lot of our time at the waterpark was spent telling him no, he couldn't go down the other slides - which eventually led to a meltdown on day 3. We will definitely be going back, but will probably wait until he is 7 and our daughter is 4 so the entire family can enjoy every aspect. Thanks for the great stay, GWL!

Hotel's Favourite
I was quite surprised to constantly see 5 star ratings for GWL but after making this a formal 4 night/5 day holiday with my wife and 2 yr old daughter, I completely understand -  What an amazing adventure GWL was! This is a very mild version of Disney and the right balance re: activities, price and location.  Here are my notes to keep this review succinct:  1) Make your reservations 90 days in advance as you will get the best deals.  2) In summer, book your rooms overlooking the outside waterpark, it will give you that destination holiday feel.  3) Buy the Paw Pass: The kids will love the activities; bowling, cub club activities, arcade, magiquest adventure, build your own teddy bear...etc. When they are busy, it gives us parents a chance to unwind just a little bit.   4) The rooms at first will seem expensive, but if you treat this like a proper destination vacation, it will be far more comparable and reasonable.  5) They have daily activities to keep your kids busy, not to mention an awesome indoor waterpark, even in the worst of Canadian winters (Dec-March).  6) The lines on the slides at the waterpark aren't bad comparatively, and there is lots to do in the waterpark for all age groups.    7) The staff all around are great. That is some solid training they've got. It seems like a world on its own. They do thier best to make sure you are happy and having an enjoyable holiday.   8) GWL tends to have special events during occasions and holidays; Father's Day, Mother's Day, Halloween, Christmas etc. I went during Father's Day, and I felt so special with my daughter celebrating me and that special day. So memorable with the dance party and balloon drop! The weekends and holidays tend to be busier and more expensive, but makes for more excitement at the resort as a whole!  9) The breakfast is an $18pp buffet and accommodates vegan and veg options. Ps: Their waffles are eggless! (For those with egg allergies) I was quite impressed. Although, if budgeting more consciously, you can bring basic food items for the rooms and there is a Starbucks, Williams and Timmies not so far a drive away. 10. They also have a nice Cafe which merits a shout out. It has great breakfast items and goodies open all day from morning to night. This was a particular favorite for my wife - for their almond milk lattes to their chocolate strawberries and cheese/plain and chocolate croissants - all made in house fresh everyday!  11) The Cub club has a few activities both free and paid to keep the kids busy, and also kids get a souvenir out of activities. It is priced quite reasonably and worth it.  12) The arcade is good and full of lights and noise, but quite a few machines and mini-rides weren't working. Bowling is fun as well.  13) The lunch options at Buckets and the Watering Hole are actually quite good - even for vegetarians! The pricing for the food can naturally be as expected. But it is decent quality. And the Pina Colada at the Watering Hole is the best I've ever had! What a pleasant treat on a hot day!  14) Northwoods Pizza is good, but order whole pizzas, the individual slices have been sitting there for a while...  15) The Bear Claw is great, but they need 2-3 more options for vegan/eggless cupcakes and desserts.  16) The evening activities are awesome, my daughter absolutely loved the dance parties. Every evening they have something different (Bingo, Games, Magic Shows) and it really helps keep the kids occupied and burn off thier energy. The Characters also come out 4 times a day which is awesome. Got some great pics out of that!  17) On average 2 nights and 3 days would normally do the trick to fully engross yourself in the GWL experience.   18) The dinner options for vegetarians are quite limited to include the typical salads, pizza, boiled vegetables...etc. I emailed in advance and was informed that special accommodations would be made for my dietary restrictions but even after speaking to the chef, they prepared me a very bland pasta....the dinner component was honestly quite disappointing. As an FYI, the menu is a 3 day rotation. The advisable thing would be to go out to one of the many restaurants at Niagara for Dinner or just do ubereats. Overall we loved our vacation, and it was a total joy to see our daughter have so much fun! We cannot wait to go back during Christmas!  Mahesh B.

The room was clean, the furniture is dated. The tub area had some mold. The sink was clogging. The mattress was not comfortable. They were suppose to put a birthday banner on the door which they did not. Overall the service was good, everyone working there is friendly and helpful. GWL needs to update their lodge and or do deep cleaning in the rooms. The kids had fun.

Just stayed here for 4 nights with my husband. He has always wanted to come here since a little kid. If you go into the pools I recommended being very cautious on the ladders to get out of it (not the stairs) there is no grip and my foot slipped and I broke my big toe. I went to the first aid place, the young lady was going to help me, then some elder lady told her not too and brushed me off and told me to go to the hospital (fair). Had to asked the front desk lady multiple times for a wheel chair before she went to get the supervisor as my foot was in extreme pain. Most of the dining staff at the buffet were great except for 2. Had one lady stand there for literally 10 mins while our food got cold, then one waiter who completely ignored us and didn't bring our drinks. Room was nice and spacious but not very accommodating for short people as getting out of the jacuzzi wet on tile was scary to say the least. Found three broken nails throughout the room which leads me to believe it wasn't cleaned properly and no maid service at all. Honestly for over $2000 I won't be going back.

Birthday weekend for a 70 year old and a 7 year old. It was our first trip to G.W.L. (won't be our last) so we did have a bit of a learning curve: - The meal pass is for 1 breakfast, 1 lunch and 1 dinner per person, available for adults and kids 4+ (3 and under are free) - The buffet has its busy times so there may be a wait for a table (our max. wait was 15 minutes). The buffet had lots of food choices for all ages and was always fresh. - Our room was on the second floor (which is actually the main floor) and was convenient for a lot of the activities (the resort is big, so some rooms are further away then others) - They generally do not accept cash on property so charges go to your room or to credit cards - The outdoor pool and activities were closed for the season - We bought a family activity pass (It's for 2 adults, 2 children) and there was tons of things for the kids! It's probably the best value (in my opinion). - The room was spotless with really comfortable beds (bath/shower and toilet are in a separate room, sink in the main area) - The pool area was very busy, but it was a weekend. There were lines sometimes for some of the slides. It was very clean and very well staffed with lifeguards - The staff are incredible! They all went out of their way to make sure everyone had a great time and they were always smiling! The kids had a great time (the adults are tired :-) ) We will definitely be back!

To whom it may concern We would like to inform you of our most unfortunate attempt to stay at the Great Wolf Lodge in Niagara falls. We booked the loft for six people and celebrating our son's sixth birthday. When we arrived at the lodge, Maisha checked us in to room 4070 on the fourth floor. At this point, we had an hour and a half drive from the GTA. When we went on to enter room 4070 on the fourth floor, the wristband did not work. I had to go all the way back down to the check in area and stated to David that the wrist band did not work. He activated the room key without checking the room or details and off we went back on to the fourth floor again. At this time, my son really needed to go the washroom and I told him to hold it until we went into the room. The wristbands worked, however other peoples' stuff were settled inside. It was another trip back to the check in area. At this time, I was tired from the trip and from going up and down the stairs for multiple failed attempts. I explained the situation to Maisha at the check-in area who was able to offer late check out for us. She re-checked us in to room 4082. By this time it was already 7:40 pm This came to show just to check in starting from the line was 50 minutes because of the multiple failed attempts to have our room. Finally, we were able to be settled and went to the pool. We got to the pool store at 7:55 pm and bought two goggles for the kids because we forgot to bring it. By the time we got out of the store it was 8 pm, and we finally made it to the pool area and the whole place was CLOSED. This was a complete mess. At 8 pm, Now for the fifth time, I had to go back to the check in area again and speak with the supervisor which was David who gave us the room key to a strangers room. When we checked in, we were not made aware of the pool closing times. The pool store did not notify us that the pool was closing soon. David, the manager, offered to give coupons for laser tag bowling. I expressed and stated that it was my son's sixth birthday and we really wanted it to be fun for him. However, they were not interested in bowling or laser tag. David was considering to give a refund or comp for another date stay then I see Maisha go up to him and continued gossip happened all throughout. At this point, David did not want to give a refund. We felt trapped and was truly disappointed with the customer service. We honestly felt slight racism with this place. It was 8:40 pm and we spent more time at the check in area than spending time with our son for his birthday. David finally agreed for a refund and this was so sickening to even think of since we drove an hour and half all the way from toronto. He refunded the deposit for the room but not the goggles. He said it needs to be done at the swim shop. We questioned as to why the swim shop would be open if the pool is closed at 8 pm. David reiterated that it's open until 10 pm. 8:45 we were back in the room to pack up and leave. We took the elevator to the swim shop and it was CLOSED. For the sixth time, I had to go back to the check in area to refund the two goggles that we bought and not use. At 9 pm,When I asked one of the girls from the lobby for help to get David, she said she doesn't know where he is. I walked again all the way to the check in and talked to Maisha. David came and noted he can't do the refund however at the gift shop the retail manager can do it. David left and I was left in the gift shop waiting again. I mentioned to David that this could've been done earlier when he checked us out. At 9:17 the retail manager, Phil, gave me a receipt. As I went in the car, I noticed only one of the goggles were refunded. I now had to go back again. Phil mentioned that David only stated one goggles. I got another receipt for the second goggles. Although the receipt showed the same time of 9:11 pm for both. We have stayed every year at the Great Wolf Lodge before the pandemic and have had many good memories. It is very unfortunate to have such terrible experience. It was embarrassing to open another family's room. It was even embarrassing going to the pool when we were very I'll informed about the changes in the place. It was even more inconvenient to keep going back to the check in area because of the multiple mistakes. Now please explain if this experience and 2.5 hours of going back and forth the 4th floor and the check in area worth $700???

We spent two nights at the great wolf lodge in Niagra Falls. We paid 600 to reserve and 800 when we got there. We also got the meal plan which we thought was paid meals for the weekend. The meal plans are 1 breakfast, 1 lunch and 1 dinner per person. So we used our dinner when we got there for the 4pm check in. This is was fun place for the kids but very expensive. Our room was the standard room. It was very basic, nothing special. for 1400 you'd think they would have nice rooms. the bathroom was dark and small. Our room was also very far, down three long hallways. The water park was okay. It was packed with people. everyone leaves towels and clothing over the chairs so there are not many places to sit. Overall it was a fun expirence for our kids but we ended up leaving and spending the day at clifton hill. The water park is not big enough to spend the day there and because we used out meal plan friday we needed to find someone else to have dinner. The arcade and laser tag was really fun also an extra cost. but the story time and morning yoga was really nice. The price was just not worth the stay. Paying for a nice hotel room and finding a water park would have been a lot cheaper.

Staying here now. Well, its dated. Sheets seem to all be stained. Found a head full of hair in my bed. Called front desk and they said they will send up fresh sheets but they won't do a maid service. Apparently due to covid they don't do maid service at all. News flash, covid is over. Not a single staff member is wearing a mask and your buffet with thousands of people walking through daily is open. Stop using that as an argument to save money on staff. Disappointed considering its my kids first time here. These rooms aren't cheap. Could have stayed at the casino and gone to their Waterpark, would have likely been a better option. Considering the reputation this place has, I would have expected a lot more. People won't just settle on mediocrity because they haven't been out for a while. Word travels fast and in a pre covid world this hotel would have been scrutinized by the health department.
