My whole stay was a series of mishaps - from the moment I arrived when the front door wouldn't open (apparently you can't enter even the lobby until check-in time - which is 4 PM. Unless you pay 34$ extra for early check-in, never mind that the place was empty at 3 PM and the 4 PM time frame did not mesh with the train schedule coming from Montreal. After paying almost 200$ for a room, why should I have to pay an extra 34$ for one hour? And If they want to be a stickler for this rule, why can't I wait in the lobby until 4?????? Anyway, the nice staff member did let me in and allow me to go in my room early without charge -- except that when I got to the room, it didn't open, probably again the issue with the time since I tried a little before 3 PM notwithstanding that the room was ready. At this point, no one was in the reception room, and this was very stressful. In the room the outlet near the table didn't work, so I had to move the table to the other side. Then the TV didn't work in the living room. I had to get someone from staff to try it. It worked in the bedroom but the whole thing was so complicated that I gave up even trying to watch. (there is no cable TV, it is all streaming, like Netflix and Prime, so you have to be a member -- why can't you just turn on the TV and get normal channels for crying in the beer!!!!) Also the check-in procedure was VERY INTRUSIVE. Taking a picture????? Sending ID????? Giving DOB????? What is this????? Prison????? I found this very offensive. And don't give me this security concern, that is really hogwash.…

Amazing visit. From the beginning, everything was easy. We arrived early and stored our luggage. Then we got to our room and everything we needed was there. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. The common areas are clean, modern, and have lots of room. The same is true for the game and exercise rooms. It was an excellent experience and I will definitely stay here again.

Despite agreeing to use their very intrusive "security", a total invasion of privacy, I could not get it to work. I called the help lne, and they said my only option was to cancel, which I did. They are more interested in harvesting my data than renting their room. Never again will I use Sonder.

Booked for aa anniversary. Left scrambling to find hotel. Actually didn’t get to stay there, I had trouble with uploading the selfie to the website. , when I called they said I would get a full refund . However they’ve kept $110 of my money. That’s not a full refund.

We went to Ottawa to visit family and booked The Sonder as it was close to them and a good price. We had a studio suite. The Good - I had the app downloaded on my phone and we drove up to the garage. No problem, paid for our 4 days parking and our ticket came out. We were a few mins before 4 and the first few times we entered the door code it didnt work. Once it got to 4, we got right in and it was nice not having to look for a key. The room was clean, kitchen had everything you would need, all good. The Bad - We rushed in, unpacked a few things and took off visit family. We got back late and I finally noticed the size of the bed! It was suppose to be a Queen, it definitely wasnt. It was a double, so small. and the mattress was soft. I should have contacted them in the am but we were unpacked and settled in etc. It was the worse 3 nights sleep, between the mattress and the size of the bed. Both of us ended up with sore backs and not much sleep. Also, it was shown in the pictures there are really no comfy chairs in the room. Only two chairs at a table and a desk chair. I overlooked that. So, it is a great location. Lots to see and do. I would look into staying here again but would try and book a one bedroom suite (to have a sofa) and hopefully a larger more comfortable bed. It is a nice, quiet, clean building.…

This place is fabulous! Very well equipped and comfortable apartment. Superb fitness room. Easy access to parking. Great location and very friendly staff. It really does tick every box!! We ate at Mama Theresa’s which is a short walk away and had a lovely meal. There is also a very good supermarket close by.

Upon our arrival we spent 2 hours on the phone trying to get the right password for the Internet. We had to wait for about 15 mins on the phone and were connected to a Sonder Staff that had no idea what the issue was, the person gave us different answers every 5 minutes. It was totally useless, totally frustrating. We travel very often (at least once a month) and have stayed in hotels, apartments and all kinds of accommodations...this is the first time we have such a problem with a Wifi connection and the first time we encounter such a useless staff

We recently stayed again at the Best Western downtown suites, our first choice when we are in Ottawa. They have complied with the new public health guidelines , so we felt very secure during our stay. Fewer guests. Grab and Go breakfast bags instead of their usually very crowded breakfast room. Coffee and tea facilities I room. Also, they currently offer a great discount if you stay two nights!

We have family in the immediate area, but felt a little private space was a good choice. It actually turned out to be an excellent choice. As immunocompromised individuals we appreciated the efforts that were made to keep the room and the hotel safe for everyone. Although we did bring our own sanitation kit, we quickly felt at ease in the hotel. Now without a doubt, things are different but we full expected that. The lack of daily housekeeping in the room was explained as was the breakfast situation. We did not view this as a big problem. Sure we would have preferred the usual breakfast they provided before, but things are different now. This is still a great place to stay in Ottawa. Staff are very good, and although the pricing was slightly different than on the Web page, it is still a great value. Clean, courteous and safe. Isn't that what we all are looking for these days? We will be back again before the snow flies. …
