Last week I stayed at the Albert House Inn again, after an absence of a couple of years. As I checked in, my self question was "Why has it been so long?" Over the past twenty years, I have stayed at the Inn many many times, because for the frequent traveler, it is a home away from home. It starts...

Comfortable, good value bed and breakfast alternative to conventional soulless hotel experience in Ottawa. Quite close to downtown and various attractions. Friendly staff and great breakfasts in the morning to set you on your way.

We spent 4 days here and thought it was a great find. You can walk to most of the downtown attractions. Catch the #8 bus across the street for a ride directly to the War Museum or the Museum of History. The staff were wonderful - cooked our breakfasts to order, gave good advice about all things tourist and asked...

We had a nice 4 night stay. The staff were a bit reserved but helpful & nice. The hotel is in walking distance (~25 minutes) from Chinatown, Parliament, Rideau Center. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance too. The War museum is about a mile away. The hotel is an old converted house. The lower floor is where breakfast...

Very friendly and helpful staff. GREAT made-to-order breakfasts. Very nice rooms. Within walking distance of all main attractions; we parked our car at the inn and didn't use it in the three days we stayed. Really, really nice.

This place was lovely. Our room was at the back of the house and very quiet. The bed was very very comfortable. The hosts were very friendly and helpful with a good knowledge of places to eat. Loved the free tea and coffee in the lounge. Breakfast was yummy with plenty of it to keep you filled up for the...

This is my fifth visit to the Albert House Inn, visits that span a ten year period. It is a converted house and so nothing is "normal". When you open the bedroom door you are not quite certain of the layout, but it is always interesting and comfortable. Breakfasts are superb, there is endless choice and no one gets up...

We booked this as part of our touring through Canada. I would have easily given a higher rating, if not for the rooms. I believe that this property appeals probably more for people who are looking for a quaint homey feel. That said the owners and staff do a wonderful job of making you both welcome and comfortable so this...

We loved this Inn! A short walk to Parliament Hill, the Locks and the War Museum. A bit farther, but not much, to the Byward Market with shops and several restaurants. Our room was on the first floor, charming and very adequate. Breakfast was cooked to order and delicious. Fresh muffins and cold offerings also. The staff was friendly, helpful...
