Lovely spot; great breakfast and a gorgeous garden. Highly recommend this place for your next visit to Ottawa. Richard is a wonderful host and has loads of interesting stories from his extensive world travels. The location is great as it is close to downtown so walking to see the sights is very convenient.

We utterly enjoyed our stay with Richard and Sandy! The location can’t be more convenient- it’s within walking distance to most major attractions - ByWard Market, Rideau Canal, Parliament Hill, tons of restaurants downtown, Gatineau etc. Our room was elegantly decorated and perfectly clean. Richard was an excellent host. He made sure we had everything we needed to tour the city. We were greeted with a delicious, made-to-order breakfast every morning. He bakes pastries fresh daily and lets us take extras for the road. He knows the city inside out & always recommended the easiest / most scenic routes to us based on where we intended to visit. Other highlights: Sandy is well-trained and brings so much joy; checking in & out was also a breeze. You can’t go wrong with choosing this lovely boutique B&B.

What a lovely experience…cozy and elegant…so many plants to energize and high ceilings to hypothesize. Sitting outside in the transcendent flower garden and hanging out in our tower room that was so quiet. Walking around the neighbourhood and seeing the embassies was very pleasant. The breakfasts in the dining room to start the day with Sunny in his chair… thanks Richard for the hospitality!

We enjoyed our stay at Auberge King Edward very much. Richard & Sandy were great hosts. Richard was so helpful with knowledge about Ottawa as well as Quebec City and other areas. The house was charming & we enjoyed our breakfast each morning. We loved the croissants, homemade muffins & fresh fruit. Parking on site was a plus. Once we parked we were in walking distance of amazing sites. We would stay here again.

Our stay at Auberge Kind Edward was very enjoyable. Richard and Sandy are amazing hosts. The house is beautiful and special. We enjoyed the daily delicious breakfast and in the evenings drinks on the upper deck. The gardens are beautiful and a pleasure to come back to each day. Richard all your hard work really comes through. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us. Love and hugs to Sandy.

We recently had a wonderful stay with Richard in his beautiful century home. He was more than accommodating in allowing us to store our bicycles inside. His local knowledge and advice re possible biking routes was superb. Our room was well appointed and very clean. Breakfast was delicious including homemade muffins. We would not hesitate to return and would highly recommend it to others.

Great for walking to the major attractions. Very warm and inviting. Richard was very friendly and welcoming. We had a great breakfast with home made muffins and a large room with comfortable beds. The best part for me, was Sandy, the golden doodle, who is so friendly and loves cuddles. If only he would fit in my suitcase! LOL
