Website advertises pool and exercise room. Both closed. Front desk let slip they are always closed. Don't clean, change the towels. Replenish coffee etc unless you ask. Ice machines are out if service. Breakfast is very limited. TV choices minimal If you just want together to crash for the nite, it's fine. If you are planning in staying for more then one night, thus is not the place
Shocking! Really bad experience and I rarely complain. The receptionist was so apologetic (wasn't his fault) . This is a new hotel, looked like 50 years of wear and tear. After a couple of tries, finally got the card for a clean room. NEVER AGAIN
We picked this hotel because of the pool. We were told on the phone upon reservation that the pool was open. Turned out, it was not. Staff was not friendly and rude. No tv remote in the room. The price was ridiculous. Would not recommend at all and will never stay there again.
1) pool was closed, excuse being they could not source parts. The pool was one of the reasons we chose this hotel. They should have been clear on their website. 2) no cleaning of the room at all, over the 3 nights. No making of the bed. no replenishment of supplies (coffee, soaps), no removal of used towels or washcloths. 3) breakfast was ok, but the third morning there were no eggs or sausages, and no staff. 4) the friendliness factor was missing at the front desk. 5) slept well though.
Run down, poorly kept, just doing the very least they can for upkeep. Tiles cracked or just missing. Tiles gone in elevator tripping hazard. Took two days to clean up coffee spilled on floor in elevator. Staff tepid, will assist but no thank you, welcome or any kind of real friendliness. Pool closed for covid, other hotels had appointments and limits for pool time, breakfast was a paper bag with water, apple, muffin and granola bar- other hotels had breakfasts still going with staff serving due to covid. Not notified of these changes before staying. Hooks in bathroom broken and repairs are done slapdash and it shows. First night drunk man banging on door, second night two police cars in parking lot with lights flashing arresting someone. Staff nowhere to be seen. Even though next door to police station felt unsafe. Will never stay here ever again.…
Carpets not vacuumed in room. Furniture broken and in disrepair. Bathroom fixtures loose. Towels stink. Bathtub stained. Caulking stained. Wallpaper peeling. Pictures missing with unrepaired holes in wall. Bed sheets must be 20 years old. Beds way beyond lifespan. Boxspring and mattress not aligned and not matched. Overall VERY bad state of disrepair. One positive - it's quiet (because no one is checked in !).
One would think with COVID that they would clean more. WRONG. We arrived to find our beds not made and our towels not changed. We complained and they said that since they lost money in COVID they are recovering it by just not cleaning the rooms. Even when we complained they said sorry they don't have anyone to clean it. Also they said free buffet breakfast. WRONG AGAIN. They gave us 1 muffin and water and they took our names so that we don't go for seconds. Don't worry, the muffin was so bad no one would want seconds. Overall I have had better experiences at highway side motels than this so called hotel. Stay at your own risk.
I will never stay there again. Upon arrival they gave me their “ last “ room available “which was a handicap accessible room without a proper shower. When I arrived to the room the deadbolt would not work. Went down to the front desk where they said they could upgrade me at no cost to myself to (funny I asked for a non handicap room when I arrived and was told they were completely booked and had no rooms available)another room. When I arrived in the other room the door latch was broken. They had a hockey team staying there one night the children ages from 13 to 15 we’re running amok trying to open my door twice knocked on my door three or four times to open my door, this was a 1030 at night I called the front desk I asked him to do something about it they said that the parents were coming up from the hot tub now. They manage to corral the kids into the bedrooms but then the parents all pulled a chair Out from the bedrooms into the lobby near the elevators and we’re drinking beer and partying themselves. I could still hear the children screaming in their rooms. Finally at 12 AM I called the front desk AGAIN and told them that if they didn’t call the police I would. The noise finally settled down at 12:45. I was there arranging my father‘s memorial services and had to be up at 5:30 the next morning. They never fixed the latch on my door even though I mentioned it to them daily. I was there seven days they didn’t never changed my sheets once and skipped cleaning my room all together one day. The toilet paper rolls would not function so I had to use Kleenex and leave them a note to leave me toilet paper and or Kleenex. The desk chair was something that I wouldn’t even donate it would be out on the curb for trash. The Plastic glasses that are “sealed for your safety “were all unsealed. I don’t think my room was vacuumed once when I was there. They did not ask me if I had a good stay when I checked out so I told them that I would never be coming back. I wrote to the head office to complain I was told that these were independently owned when I wrote to the owner she did not apologize but I asked to give them another chance to serve me next time. I will never, Never go there again. Especially with the Holiday Inn Express just down the street. I’ve included photos.…
Pros: - friendly staff - comfortable bed - breakfast was good - large spacious rooms - microwaves and fridge in rooms - great variety of vending machines Cons: - stains, dirt, wear and tear everywhere. - hot tub jets have no pressure - pool is freezing - pool showerhead is missing - signs in pool area are filthy and water damage sheets of paper in frames covered in dirt and dust. - shower curtains are stained and torn. Overall this hotel has so much potential to be something great but unless they invest in it, it will continue to go downhill.
Good price and quality value, friendly staff and good service. All amentities available, good downtown location and full meal breakfast included. Rooms with balconies are nice and clean. Highly recommend.
