Stayed at this hotel during the labour day weekend. Decent hotel, friendly staff and nice rooms. Had booked a suite which was clean and facing the highway. Hotel was booked on both days. Lot of parking space available, access to the hotel is slightly off even though it’s very close to the highway. Rooms were expensive given the weekend. Breakfast was ok. Couple of things which were strange - no house keeping if you stayed for 2 days. They said they will clean/make the bed etc if you stayed for three days. Do not understand this policy, first time I am hearing. No garbage pick up as well unless your stay was more than three days. Bath soap was exhausted in her shower .. I asked for a refill and they did not seem to have the refill available. Will likely stay again but would expect room to be cleaned every day.…

As luck would have it, I booked the stay on the day the wildest rain storm in a decade hits Ottawa. I reached the hotel at 8PM that evening and found a pitch dark building with absolutely no lights. The front desk still checked me in manually and assigned the rooms on the top floor for me. Having no power, I had to haul all my luggage five floors up the stairs with no emergency lighting and stuffy stale air. Here are all the bad: - The property has NO backup generator, they only have a few handheld flashlights - Battery operated emergency stairwell lights are ALL not working, they end up leaving flashlights pointed upwards on the floor - No ventilation, no gym, no pool, windows doesn't open, no hot water, no working elevators, no wifi, doubt the smoke detectors are still working (this is a death trap situation) The Good: - Joanne at the font desk handled the situation with aplomb. totally unfazed by the difficult and annoyed guests. The technician who opens the room doors for us needs a mention as well. Calm, friendly and cool - Power returned around 7AM the next morning, they were able to serve up a decent breakfast. Appreciate that. Due to the fact there are no backup generators (to rub salt to the wound, the fitness complex next doors has full lighting and air con with their diesel generator humming away nicely way into the night), I would certainly not be choosing this venue in the future.…

This hotel is just off the highway outside of Ottawa next to a mall. The staff were very friendly and the room was clean. The pool was small but my kids still had a good time and we liked having it to ourselves. The breakfast was good and the price was very affordable. The room was quiet and the view over the highway was beautiful with the fall leaves.

It was a nice hotel with friendly staff and pretty good service. Due to covid they don't come into the room unless requested, so you have to make sure to keep it tidy yourself if you're ok with that. We did request new towels and they came pretty quickly. Breakfast was also pretty good for the price. Location isn't great but we had friends and family in Orleans and with proximity to the highway, it was easy to get around. The WiFi wasn't very good and kept cutting in and out. And the ac was really loud and would occasionally wake me up at night. We were also on the ground floor and once the pool opened up, the hallway was pretty noisy. I did like the easy access to our car though. It wasn't my favourite stay but it was good enough for the price.

I usually don't write about every hotel but they did a great job keeping things as normal as possible during COVID. COVID shut down the hot tub and pool, but everything else was done well. And I feel guilty for having an extra breakfast bag 😇

During my recent stay at the Holiday Inn I took a nasty fall in the lobby. Aimee the night clerk was amazing but the buck stopped there. Nobody at the hotel bothered to follow up on how I was and if my injuries were healing. I did hear after I reviewed them on an email that they sent but in all honesty it was too little too late. Thankfully, my injuries as gradually healing but my confidence in the Holiday Inn may take alot more healing before I trust them again.

Our visit was wonderful. The staff was attendant to all our needs. They did a great job of following health regulations and making us feel safe. The room and hotel was clean, I also liked how they did not come into the room unless you asked them to. I also loved how we received a few text messages to make sure we were satisfied with everything. Definitely will stay again.

Everything very clean. Smells fresh. Staff very alert and positive. Breakfast not as usual in a common room. Pick from menu in evening and pick up like a bagged lunch from front desk. Good value place for cost and close enough to city and country.

We were probably one of the first guests when this hotel reopened after the pandemic. The care and service from the staff, led by Maria, are truly remarkable. We felt safe from covid, which is very hard to do when we had no idea what to expect. Amazingly clean and the staff gave us the confidence that we are in good hands. Healthy breakfast, suitable for diabetics like me. Thank you for the great experience!!
