A wonderful B&B experience, Bob and Della were very accommodating hosts and the suite was cozy, comfortable and clean complete with its own little TV, little electric fireplace, kitchenette& heating /cooling control.
A lovely bathroom (beautiful mirror!) with a good shower/ and a very comfortable tub.
Great to have my own entrance too.
Breakfast was served in an open, airy, all season sun porch. I am sure it is even lovelier in the summer when the gardens are in colour. I enjoyed the breakfasts (lots of food) and the menu was different each day ( nice!) Della is a great cook.
Overall a very good experience. I would recommend it to friends and family.

We were chosing this B&B to stay at when visiting friends and the Niagara Falls. It was perfect - comfortable beds, everything was very clean and nice, spacious bathroom and a great breakfast every day. The hosts are very friendly and welcoming and were giving us recommendations also for our day trips. A very nice place to stay at.

This B&B is likely the best we have ever stayed in. Every detail was looked after. We could not have asked for more. It was so very clean, the decor was perfect, the beds and linens were so comfortable. A refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, fresh flowers and a most delicious breakfast were available. Yes,everything was home made. Our hosts were generous, attentive and friendly.
We will definitely stay here if we travel this way again.

For $130 plus tax, we had a clean, well-provisioned two-bedroom suite at the front of a suburban St. Catharines home an easy 20 minute drive along the lakeshore from Niagara-on-the-Lake. A separate entrance leads to a combined living room and small kitchen with the bedrooms and washroom just beyond. One bedroom has a double bed and the other two singles, The house has another bedroom to rent behind the suite but I didn't see it. At the back of the house is a large family living/dining room with windows overlooking the huge, beautiful garden. There, the warm and welcoming owners served us a delicious breakfast of home made muffins, fruit, yogurt, good coffee and an egg frittata. When we return to the Niagara region, I hope they have space for us because I can't imagine a better deal!

Early in the morning or late in the day, and sometimes in between, it was a relaxing haven. The breakfasts were superb, the backyard amazing with several tiny nooks for reflection or 'a little party'. Neat living/dining room area for planning our day, comfortable cozy bedrooms, all immaculate. TV, micro wave, fridge. Host friendly, knowledgeable for the area - and easy on and off the highway after a busy day.

Far from the tumult, a haven of peace in this B & B that is more of an independent (and very confortable) apartment, ideal for families, with two bedrooms, a bathroom with bath, a full equiped kitchen and a private entry. The breakfast is fantastic, with home made muffins and a différent hot plate every day. Very good value for money and one of our favorite B&B in Canada

So I'll start off with some of the good things regarding this property. The house is a quaint little property in northern St. Catharines which is next to the QEW but shielded well from all of the noise. Bob, the host, was very polite and was immediately available when we were checking in for our stay to show us the property.

The house apparently has two rooms; The one we stayed in was the smaller of the two but still fit a king size bed very well. The entrance to this room was at the side of the house which is accessed along an uneven stone walkway to the east side of the property which made wheeling suitcases and carrying items somewhat difficult due to the path and all the foliage. Climbing the stairs to the rear entrance, instead of being given a key, you are given a code number to unlock the deadbolt.

The room itself was tidy and just accommodating for two people with minimal luggage. If you like a cold room, this is not the property for you to stay at. The hosts keep the air conditioning switched off and while the general commons/eating area was fresh and cool for breakfast, the room we stayed in was at least 10 degrees warmer and stuffy with absolutely no fresh air circulation even with the window wide open.

The room also contains a skylight which is a wonderful effect but if you have a hard time sleeping with ambient light, you will have a very difficult time in this room. As my wife put it, "I woke up at 6am with what seemed like a flashlight in my eyes wondering what light had been turned on." The bottom line is you need an eye mask if you need any sort of darkness as this room, especially in the mornings, as it is insanely bright.

The breakfast the next morning was ... okay. It consisted of fresh fruit (a bonus for the cut up cherries), pancakes (one of which had a sunny side up egg baked into the center of it which my wife didn't eat), muffins (which were dry/stale), and coffee/juice. The only juice they appeared to have was orange juice; I requested apple juice twice and both times received the response "Is orange okay?" -- It's too acidic for me.

The last item which was somewhat concerning, relating back to the temperature, was that at some point during the evening, we believe the hosts entered our room while we were gone and shut the window which we purposely left open to try to cool the room down. Upon our return, the once open window was now shut and the room was stifling once again; Thank God I brought my own high speed fan. At any rate, hosts should never enter a room after someone has checked into it.

Is it a nice property? Yes. Do the hosts cater to the clients? Not really. Did I have a restful stay and would I stay there again? Absolutely not. I'm sure there are some people that can sleep in a 75 F / 24 C degree room that is as bright as a star going supernova in the morning, but I'm certainly not one of them.

Thanks for your review! Our policy is not to enter our guests rooms unless we have the okay ahead of time. I made an exception in your situation. The AC had clicked on as it got warmer in the afternoon (it never was shut off, the demand was not there yet) and as I was watering the flowers outside, I noticed that your window was wide open. With your interest in mind for having a cool room, I decided to go in and close the window. My apologies for doing that. Sorry that the freshly baked muffins turned out dry. As the skylight is concerned, we will look into getting a blind fitted to the window for a better sleep! Thanks for your feedback! Sincerely, Bob

I recently stayed with Bob & Della for 7 days whilst on business in St Catharine's. Just a perfect place - friendly hosts, private, tasteful, stylish room with bright ensuite and own entrance, delicious (and very generous!) home-cooked breakfast in a tranquil garden room, and lovely well-kept garden that guests are welcome to sit in. I've stayed in a lot of B&Bs (and some very good ones), but I can honestly say this has been my favourite so far - most of them have a "but"...but I can't think of one for here! Thanks so much Bob & Della, I'll definitely be booking in again if I'm back in St Catharine's.

This is a great value B&B if you are travelling as a family or need 2 bedrooms with it's 2 bedroom suite with it's own entrance so very private. Lovingly restored older home with kitchen/sitting room, private bath and 2 nicely decorated bedrooms. Breakfast was delicious, served in a lovely solarium overlooking a wonderful garden and filled us for the entire day. Location is convenient to wineries and outlet shopping.

I was a little hesitant to stay in a B&B. I was afraid that I would feel like an intruder in someone else's home. I was wrong. The floor plan of the home was perfect. Each room had it's own private entrance and everything you might need. Free wi-fi, lots of television stations, coffee pot, refrigerator, microwave, comfy bed, fluffy towels and super clean! Would love to go back and explore the area more, there's lots to do.
