Mike and Helen are the perfect hosts. They are friendly, warm people who know how to take care of their guests. Not at all obtrusive, but their stories and welcoming manner truly added to our weekend in Stratford. The home is in a good location. You can walk to downtown but we chose the short car ride (just a few...

Our host Michael was great. Friendly, knowledgeable and very accommodating. The rooms were spacious and very comfortable. We had our own balcony overlooking the beautiful garden. The breakfast was fabulous and Michael catered to our individual dietary needs. He helped us make reservations and let us know which restaurants in town were good. The decor of the house was very...

This was our second stay at the Blue Spruce and, as previously, we had a wonderful experience. The very friendly and welcoming hosts, the outstanding breakfasts (love that special oatmeal of Helene's), the recommendations re restaurants for our other meals, the overall elegance of the Blue Spruce all made for another excellent visit to Stratford. We will definitely stay here...

We have stayed at The Blue Spruce twice now and loved it both times! The first time, we were celebrating our anniversary and they kindly left us a bottle of wine in our room. You can rent their tandem bicycle for the day, which was a fun way to tour around Stratford. We really appreciated the thoughtful touches like leaving...

Mike and Helen are great people - so kind, generous and hilarious. I felt like family from the first day I stayed there. I'll miss the two dogs Dexter and Dixie as well. I stayed in the writer's room (a real stroke of luck) which is full of all kinds of interesting memorabilia and good books to read. It really...

I felt transported to Old Victorian times, with modern day comforts and amenities. Including TV, coffee makers in the rooms and very comfortable beds. The decoration and antiques throughout are in good taste and make it feel like a second home, not like some hotels where you feel like you are in a museum. The owners were very personable and...

Mike + Helen are wonderfully warm + friendly hosts + their dogs, Dexter + Dixie simply adorable. The rooms are beautifully decorated + have extremely comfortable beds. In the bathroom it is readily evident that Helen tried to accommodate the important little details, eg. make up remover pads. The breakfasts are to die for + don't sacrifice quantity for quality....

The host and hostess, Michael and Helen were very welcoming. They arranged for us to check in early. They were very helpful about suggesting a place for a quick lunch on our way to the matinee and it turned out to be very reasonable as well as delicious. We were able to have an early superb breakfast before we went...

Mike and Helen are very warm, welcoming hosts and have done a fine job decorating the house. We stayed in the music room that had all sorts of signed programs and back stage passes as part of the decor. The bathroom was roomy, but the shower stall was teeny--not a huge deficit for me and since there was plenty of...

Stayed for a night with my adult daughter while in town for a play. Michael, Helene, Dexter and Dixie are wonderful!! The breakfast was grand and plentiful. Great coffee! (So important!) Beautiful home: clean and quiet. We stayed in the music room with its own balcony. Convenient walking distance to downtown. Will return for another stay!
