We stayed twice at the Prince Arthur hotel last month during a trip by private aircraft. The main reason why we came back the second time is that the hotel offers a free shuttle service to and from the Thunder Bay airport, thus saving us the considerable expense of taxi fares. A night's stay including this service is excellent value...

I love old buildings but this one needs a bit of work. There is a strong smoke smell on all floors and some rooms require repair and up keep. It also doesn't help when the room next door decides it is a good time to play guitar and smoke weed into the late light. With a two inch gap under...

The Prince Arthur Hotel is good value for money. Make sure that you ask for the walk-in rate that is advertised out on the highway, otherwise you will pay too much! The hotel is clean and tidy and the rooms are comfortable and equipped with refrigerator and coffee maker. Breakfast in the hotel dining room is tasty and quick -...

We arrived at Thunder Bay on a dark and stormy night---and after a quick search of the downtown area, the looming brick and concrete ediface of the Prince Arthur Hotel beckoned with its warm light and grand entrance. The years have worn some of her beauty, but the bones are good. The rooms themselves are perfectly adequate. Like many historic...

After booking and reading reviews on this site - I had very low expectations for this hotel. However, I found that the front desk was helpful and kind. I also found that our particular room was clean and well-kept. The view of the Sleeping Giant from our window was great. The location, near the water, was walking distance to restaurants...

A lot of leeway has been given to this ol' gal over the years because of her history, but unless the current owners invest some money into her she will be losing repeat clientele. We stayed there recently because of the location - right across the street from Bluesfest. If not for that we would not have chosen the Prince...

Was there with a group of motorcyclists. Staff was very friendly and tried to make us welcome. Weather was damp and cold and had difficulty getting room warm. Found nearly empty pizza box in my closet, other then that room clean. Elevator was somewhat undersized for the building when people had multiple bags to bring to their rooms. However if...

This hotel was terrible. I have two small children (20 months and 4 months) and yes they go to bed early, but the noise in this hotel was something else. We waited and hoped the noise would calm down by 9pm, but instead the ppl next to us and their children were running up and down the hallways until 11pm,...

I am sitting in this room right now, shocked and disappointed by the worst treatment I've ever experienced in all my years of travel, and this is in my own home town.
