Stayed here twice now. Really like this place. This last time, I stayed for one night with my fiance. It's a beautiful historic building in a great location close to the convention centre and Union Station. The suits are modern and clean. We had to park underground in the Queen St green Parking lot as the hotel only has limited...

After a nightmare of an airbnb property, we went here and immediately got a room. Whereas parking is a bit difficult we found parking on the street a block over. The ambiance upon walking in was amazing and felt like something out of a 1940's movie! A beautiful chandelier, 2 or 3 bars and friendly people welcoming you as soon...

I have stayed here before because of the hotel's location and and interesting suite rooms. I have always stayed in the new tower and saw on the booking page that there was an option of 'historic' room, in the older part of the facility, and also an option of 'atrium view' - I decided to try them both. I thought...

I needed one night of accommodation in Toronto and found a good rate for One King West. I chose it mainly for having a location convenient to my meetings, but was pleasantly surprised by the beautifully restored architecture of an early 20th century bank. The friendly, competent staff welcomed me and a short ride in a historic elevator took me...

I stayed four nights at the hotel whilst in Toronto for work. The hotel is well situation with easy access to both the subway and the Path system. In good weather an easy enough walk from Union Station too. There were plenty of places close by to choose from to dine out and a drug store right across the road...

We booked this hotel because of its proximity to the Air Canada Centre, access to the PATH (Toronto’s underground network and access to the ACC) and overall value. The room was spacious with all the modern amenities for an efficiency unit. The room was clean, well maintained and very comfortable. Unfortunately there is limited food service during the day but...

I lived in Toronto until retirement in 2007 but recently had to return due to my husband's hip surgery at St. Mikes Hospital. At initial hotel booking, I mentioned the purpose of our trip and the frontline person said he would get back to me after he spoke with management about a compassionate discount. He quickly responded with a nice...

Stayed for a friends birthday weekend, close proximity to attractions & night life. Booked multiple rooms. Front desk service was excellent. Rooms were very modern, comfortable bed very spacious room. Has a quiet policy because of long term residents that share hotel. The "bank" nightclub/party room is a unique experience.

Chose this hotel because we could walk from Union Station and then to the Four Seasons Centre. Front desk was jammed as we arrived but check-in was quick and very friendly. I guess I wasn't paying attention when I booked - this is a hotel with jr suites etc. We had a livingroom, kitchenette, two televisions - more than we...

My spouse and I stayed in an Historic Superior Suite while visiting family nearby on the 8th floor. The Suite was perfect for our stay. The bed was extremely comfortable, and everything was very clean. We thoroughly enjoyed having the mini-kitchen in our room, especially having use of a fridge and toaster. We discovered that our safe wasn't working, and...

Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
