Arrived at Hotel Victoria mid week after booking on Expedia. No issues with check in, friendly front desk staff. Room is on the 8th floor. Very quaint, clean and small. Lots of construction in area and banging could be heard late into the night past midnight. Street sounds are very audible. No view from room just a brick wall. Complimentary...

I came to Toronto by train for a brief two-night stay with the intention of just wandering around downtown. Being a quick walk from Union Station, this hotel was perfectly located for that. It’s walking distance to several major attractions (CN Tower, Ripley’s Aquarium, the waterfront, St. Lawrence Market, Eaton Center) and close to subway stations. The lobby was nice...

We only stayed here for one night. This hotel is perfectly located, next to a lot of nice restaurants and sights. The rooms are small but clean. Check-in and check-out was fast and the people at the front desk were friendly. Price worth it.

On the plus side, the location is excellent, with most attractions within walking distance. However, because the hotel is located in an old building, the rooms are really small and inconvenient if you travel with children. Besides there is only one elevator and it is way too slow to handle the flow of guests.

Hotel is within 10 minutes walk of Union Station, right on Yonge Street. You can walk tp the waterfront, or to great shopping or to great dining in 15 minutes. As well, they have a great restaurant, popular with people who work in the Financial District as well as hotel guests. Staff are helpful and polite.

We took the Union Pearson train from the airport and it was nice that the hotel was just a short walk from Union Station. It was also very convenient to walk to Rogers Centre for the two Jays games we attended. The room was small and so was the bathroom but we were barely in the room so we were...

A quaint historical hotel in the centre of busling Toronto. Large rooms, awesome beds and linens. Friendly and accommodating staff. Great restaurant for breakfast and lunch right off the lobby. Close to Union Station, Rogers Centre, theatres, restaurants and much more.

A unique heritage building right in the heart of downtown --- very convenient to go shopping and riding the subway. The room is standard size and efficient for me who was traveling light on this trip. The room is clean, nicely decorated in a minimalist style and it has everything I need. The two bottles of complimentary water was convenient...

If you want to be close to King and Yonge, this is a reasonable choice. The bathroom door hits the toilet on the way in, and the bathroom is tiny, but the bathroom is clean, and well maintained. The only other room is the bedroom, which is also clean, but small. The wall HVAC unit is old fashioned, but it...

Stayed the night with fiancé and girlfriend after attending an event in Toronto. Room was well-appointed, spacious and clean. We were happy with the full-sized closet and the king-sized bed. Excellent selection of entertainment with the AppleTV and very central location. Steps away from Union Station and plenty of parking close by (although none specifically associated with the hotel which...

Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
