We stayed here whilst attending the Building Show. Check in was very quick. Desk staff very friendly. The room was very nice but a few cons first; Our reservation said a King room, and we expected a King bed but it had 2 doubles. The climate control vent in the room was quite noisy and i found it hard to... More

Stayed one night mid week for a work trip. Room was clean, faced the tracks. Bed is comfortable. Was easy to get around. Friendly helpful staff. Looking to come back in the future. Only draw back, walls a bit thin.

We were visiting Toronto for the 2017 WWE Survivor Series event and chose to stay at the Renaissance Hotel because my boyfriend had stayed at the hotel previously on a trip with his family, and we knew that it was within walking distance of the Air Canada Centre (where the event was being held) and many restaurants and other tourist... We stayed at this hotel and attended a Toronto blue Jays vs Cleveland Indians game...the Indians won! This hotel was very nice. The staff was friendly. The location was extremely convenient! There was a lounge inside the hotel where you could look out onto the field from the windows. This hotel is unique and was well worth the money we... More

The hotel is in a prime location to Jay's and leafs as well as aquarium and cn tower. The hotel itself is dated. My room was large but old. Needs new paint job and carpeting. I am a frequent flyer to mariott chains and disappointed i was placed right behind the elevator. Already unpacked before i realized how loud it... More

I've stayed here a lot, 3 or 4 times this year alone and many times in previous years. I've always recommended this hotel to others as well. Usually we have great service and an enjoyable stay all around. I actually picked this hotel over the new Delta where my husband wanted to stay for a change because I knew I... More

Almost all good but $13 for WIFI??? That's what they charge. Otherwise, we had a nice room on the 8th floor looking out to the railroad tracks. Nice size room that was neat and clean. Staff was good. Parking for $30 was good too.

For a last minute getaway, my husband and I booked a hotel through Priceline's "Name your own price" tool and the Renaissance Downtown was what we received for $125/nite. Wow. Truly is a very nice hotel, modern and in a good downtown location. Connected to the Rogers Centre, next to the CN Tower and is quite close to the Union... More

Absolutely loved this hotel! Once arrived we were told that we were upgraded to an executive suite! The room was great! I had no idea that the suites window view was the blue jays field so that was an awesome surprise. Also the hotel is in a great location in comparison to the main attractions that we wanted to visit.... More

Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
