Good rooms and a great location. Attached is the view we had for breakfast. Book well in advance to save money. I would stay here again. The food is great. The service is great. The rooms are a little dated feeling but not dirty or smelly.

We had an excellent stay at the Renaissance. Alex at breakfast was a great help and such good service, really helpful. Watching the Blue Jays in the evening from the restaurant was a lovely treat for us. Thank you to all the staff

Checked in and went up to my room (which was supposed to be a King bed, overlooking the rogers centre) - it was a room with two double beds. I called down to customer service and got Erin...she's a beauty. I explained that it was only me staying there and that I would rather a king bed if possible (as...

This hotel is beautiful and I highly recommend it, especially if you're a Blue Jays fan. You have a view of the field right from the lobby and the restaurant on site. I took my husband here as a surprise for his birthday. I knew how lovely the rooms were, but I was surprised by how spacious it was. The...

I booked the Renaissance for one night for a girls weekend with my two daughters. When searching for a hotel it was important that I find one that had a pool and a hot tub. In the evening my daughters like to spend time swimming, but since I have neuropathy in my feet I cannot go in cold water, so...

Dear Jelomu, Thank you for sharing your experience with us. Your feedback is very important to us as it only helps us to improve. I apologize that the hot tub was out of order during your visit with your family. Unfortunately, we had to close the hot tub at last minute due to a malfunctioning part. Rogers Centre has ordered...

We booked this hotel based on a previous stay. We booked one of the more expensive rooms in order to enjoy two MLB Toronto Blue Jays games from the luxury of our room. Our room, including taxes was approximately $700 per night and we stayed for two nights. Arrival at the hotel was met by very friendly door staff and...

Only one of the two rooms we reserved was ready at check in. The manager Neil Waters (thank you) quickly remedied the situation and also gave us free breakfast the following morning. From the bellhop to the restaurant waiters, the service was quick and efficient. Location is right beside Rogers Stadium (Blue Jays baseball) as well as several other tourist...

Earlier this week I set out with my three kids from Ottawa to surprise my mother on her 70th birthday. I chose to stay at the Renaissance Toronto because I had stayed there for a conference a few weeks before and loved it. My second visit, with the kids, was even better. The staff could not have been kinder or...

I recently stayed at the Renaissance Toronto during the first week of May. I actually Booked through Hotwire and was not treated any differently, like I have been at other hotels. *NOTE - They charge $12.95 a day for Wi-Fi unless you are a Marriott rewards member so I would suggest signing up prior to arrival. Check in – friendly,...

We have been traveling around the country seeing games in all the MLB stadiums. This hotel is actually built into the stadium. You can actually watch the game from the restaurant and from a few of the rooms. The staff was helpful with a map and pointing out other places of interest. Hotel is also next to the big Toronto...

Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
