Here on business & brought my partner along with to explore the city. This hotel is perfectly located for many entertainment options. A very short walk from the via and to the water front. You would be able to see a game if the roof was open at the Rogers Centre. It's a doable half hour walk to the Eaton's...

In Toronto, I've stayed at the Hyatt, the Thompson, the Ritz Carlton, The Royal York, One King West, the King Edward, and the Hilton. The only hotel that was comparable to the Intercontinental was the Ritz. Yes, this 4-star property is comparable to the Ritz. Every staff member we met was extremely friendly. In particular, we received notable service from...

Great hotel in a great location. Prices are reasonable and some of the views are great to see the city. Service was also exceptional. The conference facilities were easily accessible. Use the valet parking it's much easier than trying to find you car in the convention centre.

Booked a room for my parents as a mother's day present using my accumulated rewards points. They had a wonderful stay and noted the fantastic customer service at reception. They were given a corner room, up high, facing the lake -- something the staff didn't have to do, but accommodated nonetheless.

So me and my partner went for a week to visit family, not the best time of year but it never stopped anyone from getting on with their day to day life even though being from the UK we found it rather fresh. On arrival the staff were friendly and polite, check in was easy least and we found our...

This hotel is central to everything in downtown Toronto. Like most downtown Toronto hotels the InterContinental doesn't offer free parking but they do offer $50 / 24 hour valet parking which is competitive with nearby self-park lots. The front desk staff are efficient and courteous. The rooms are clean with great views. The beds and pillows are very comfortable. This...

We arrived tired and weary after crossing the Atlantic, check in was so easy, greeted with a smile and kind words but also efficiency......and after a long journey that is just what you need...was upgraded to the next room level...sent to the 10th floor and here is home for 3 nights....our view is of the CN Tower, the city airport,...

We have stayed at this hotel before and loved it so much we wanted to go back. We ended up being placed in a much older and run-down room than we had stayed in on our 2 previous visits, and were disappointed in the small size of it, as well as the dated decor. The room was clean, and the...

First impressions their lobby is extremely clean and smells amazing, they have some scent infusors going. We were staying here for the first time, and went to test our luck for early check in for 11 and not only did they have a room ready, we were upgraded for free! We ended up having an amazing view. Our room was...

Like all intercons it has everything you need and the beds are amazing. If your driving parking is a little pricy though. One thing I do find annoying (but this does seem to be just a North American thing). They put quite a large hold on your card. Bit of a pain when you travel as much as I do....

Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
