Overall this property is impeccable, not just the hotel, but the staff is just as previously mentioned. From the valet attendant, to the Front Desk, Concierge, and restaurant staff, everyone always attentive and willing to give you the best experience. Our company stayed here for 3 days, and had the best experience we have had in any property around the...

First off - we've stayed in lots of hotels and this had the best bed ever. The mark of good service is how people deal with problems - there was an issue with the lock on our room and the staff were all, without exception, brilliant. They fixed the lock, upgraded our room and gave us a free dinner. We...

Stayed at the King Edward for the Easter weekend. Rooms are beautifully done, a mix of European charm and modern décor. Staff are friendly and attentive; Easter brunch was fabulous. Will make this my hotel of choice when in Toronto.

I really enjoyed the King Edward Hotel. Beautiful bathroom/shower, nice plush bed. Very friendly and beautiful interior. We were suppose to get complimentary orange juice but never did. But that was the only "issue". It is very close to Ed Mirvish Theatre.

Stayed here in February for a few nights away, shopping and a hockey game. The hotel was easy to find, close to the PATH and Subway station at King street. The room was very nice, front desk and valet were helpful and the room was quiet, clean, large and well appointed. One thing I was disappointed in was that the...

The rooms were spacious well equipped and beautifully furnished. We had upgraded to use the royal club lounge and this made our stay even better. A special thanks to. Our two nights stay was a true pleasure from checking in to the check out. Luxurious and spacious rooms, very quiet, extremely accommodating staff and management made us feel like King and Queen... Dining and shopping down town Toronto is in comfortable walking distance. We are already looking forward to our next stay at the King Edward Hotel.

We stayed over the long Easter weekend and found the hotel beautiful, and the service excellent. We got upgraded to huge suites. Breakfast was also great. The hotel staff at the front door was always friendly and very helpful. Location to attractions was perfect.

I would definitely stay here again. The location is great - easy walking distance to many restaurants and sites. The hotel itself is beautiful. I felt like a Queen. I especially appreciated the staff allowing a very early check in so we could make the most of our visit.

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
