This hotel is OK. It is rather more tired in appearance and fit-out than most Holiday Inns I have visited worldwide. It is in a handy location for the university. The check-in experience was not very satisfactory -just not welcoming at all. However they did assist by putting a fridge in my room when I asked for it. The wifi...

HOTEL’S FAVOURITE REVIEW

The University of Toronto is directly across the street, so the location was ideal for me. A 24 hour Metro grocery store was a 5 minute walk west on Bloor Street and a Tim Hortons just a 2 minute walk east on Bloor were quite handy, There is also a convenience store across the street from the hotel. St. George...

Dear Salaman: From all of us here, we extend a hearty thank you for writing an online review. We are pleased you found our location convenient - the restaurant that is adjacent to our hotel does indeed provide in-room dining, and there is a fitness room located on our second floor (just so you know for your next visit). Very clean and professional hotel. Fairly priced and great service. Conveniently located near public transportation, the University of Toronto, and several museums (Gardiner, ROM, and Bata Shoe). Only negative is that there is no continental breakfast or coffee available.

This hotel is conveniently located next to the St. George subway station. The rooms are clean and spacious and the beds are comfy. There is a bar/restaurant conveniently attached to the hotel called the Fox and Fiddle. Great spot to grab a bite to eat or a drink and watch a sports game.

I stayed Apr 30th-May 4th 2017. This is a very tired looking and feeling hotel. It does not fit into its surroundings, Yorkville is very high end and this hotel is the opposite!! I would have been able to look past the negatives if the staff ( front desk!!) had had any sort of personality. They are like computers, no...

The rooms are a good size and were spotlessly cleaned. The beds are comfy and lots of pillows are provided. Unfortunately there is no safe, microwave or fridge in the room - and since we were staying several days for business we had nowhere to put leftovers we might otherwise have taken with us from local restaurants. My room had...

Checked in at 3pm. It's only 55F outside but about 80 in the room. Find out there's NO a/c on yet. Too early for this hotel to use a/c. I'm told to open the window and crack the door to get it cooled. What!! Great-I'm prepaid for a week in this hot room!!

Dear Robert R: We wish to acknowledge and thank you for the time taken to write a review. We regret you had issues with the guestroom temperature. Unlike most homes or some condominium buildings, most institutional environments in both Spring & Fall are challenged to provide cooling and heat at the same time. When a building activates the roof-top compressor...

We stayed here a few weeks ago when we were in town to watch a raptors game. The hotel is very nice and in a great location for transit. The subway station is location directly across the street so once you arrive and park in the hotel underground parking, there is no need to take your vehicle any further.

10/10 would NOT recommend this hotel, simply because of my experience on their malfunctioning elevator. We boarded with several people and all got stuck. The elevator constantly jolted up and then halted. Then it would drop down and halt for several minutes. We couldn't tell what floor we were on and we were all fearing the worst in there. Eventually,...

Definitely convenient to subway, restaurants and places to visit like the ROM. Bed, linens, pillow comfy, but I had issues with the "amenities". I was exhausted, but since the window treatments are sheer there was no way to darken the room so I could sleep well day or night. Wanted to soak my worn out & sore feet, but the...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
Midtown is a dynamic part of Toronto with some of its most stylish high-rise residences and heritage buildings. The area sees busy shoppers with bag-laden arms balancing lattes in paper cups as they travel from one luxury brand to the next, taking advantage of the proximity of high-end shops. The reflecting pools, jogging trails, and nature treks of the Rosehill Revision are always a hub of outdoor activity, and after a workout from either running or splurging, many take advantage of the spas and massage parlors Midtown has to offer. Away from the bakeries, boutiques, and glamorous old theaters of the district's center, locals use the weekend to embrace the more suburban feel of Midtown's parks, tennis courts, outdoor markets, and the manicured grounds of Casa Loma, while families indulge the area's state-of-the-art playground and learning facilities. Of course, no high-brow district is complete without a healthy counter-culture: Midtown boasts some of the wildest street art and full-wall graffiti of any neighborhood in Toronto.
