We brought our mums to Toronto for a 4 night break and have previously stayed at the Sheraton Hotel - to us, there is no other hotel to stay in in Toronto. It is really well placed with excellent restaurants in the local area - The Keg, Earls, Quinns Steakhouse to name but a few. The staff were exceptional -...

I have used this hotel many times because it has spacious rooms, fantastic views from allmost all rooms in the two high towers, and because of its location. It also has a big in- and outdoor swimming pool, and big breakfasts in a downstairs restarant, also good for hamburgers and beers. It has a basement corridor which goes all the...

The room was generally quite nice, what you'd expect from a Sheraton, but what I didn't expect was the CONSTANT NOISE. What is going on in the room above me? An off-balance washing machine? A train? Who knows! Certainly not the front desk, who I called twice and got the broken promise of a call back with answers, and nor...

Beautiful property. Front desk staff was super nice & friendly. Loved the beautiful water fall in the middle of the lobby. Staff were very responsive when requested for amenities. Room very clean and comfortable. It was a girls night out weekend so we decided to stay in downtown for 1 evening. Will stay here again!

Right in the middle of the city centre hotel district, the slightly dated Sheraton pulls no surprises. Big lobby, friendly desk staff and 80s feel. Perfect for a quick business stay but expensive. Rooms comfortable with nice view onto the in/out pool.

This hotel is in close walking proximity or short cab ride if you prefer to theaters, business district and the waterfront. Personally I walked down to convention centre, aquarium and Rogers centre. The beds are wonderful and I slept great. Hotel is kept clean and there are restaurants int he hotel if you do not want to leave. The hotel...

We had a room with two queen beds - this was a quite large room! Plenty of space to not bang into your room mate. We weren't there for the 'view' but the windows made an interesting 'scape to look down and out on. We were there for a conference and had lost a briefcase on the travel to the...

I recently stayed at Sheraton Centre for 7 nights. The room was okay but the bathroom was really small. My room phone didn't work all throughout my stay and each morning one or the other technician used to come and replace the device - still it didn't work. Housekeeping service was good. The guest service desk personals could be more...

Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
