I always liked it when it was a Delta and the newly renovated Chelsea wont' disappoint business travelers or families who want to be right in the heart of the City. The Hotel was very clean and the staff are very professional. I love that the rooms have balconies, I like fresh air and this is a nice feature. I...

I booked the Chelsea based on it's location to attractions and public transit and I was not disappointed. Traveling off season gives you the benefit of cost value and the Chelsea definitely delivered. The room was immaculate, which is the first thing I noticed, with comfortable bedding and a perfect shower. Being it was my first time to Toronto, I...

I stayed for 4 days in one of the rooms on the higher floors of this hotel (just below the level of the swimming pool and breakfast lounge), probably the top most. The view was good. Room and ambience was nice. The buffet breakfast was very basic, but nothing to complain about. The small sized pool and the gym area...

Check in was very slow. They were incapable of receiving faxes. They did not process the third-party billing forms I faxed and email beforehand which complicated the check in. The location was super. Did not need taxis or subway.

Always here for business. Clean, comfortable, and couldn't get a better location. Close to everything. Staff are always accommodating. Big spot, so it takes a bit to get around. Heard they are tearing it down to make condos. Hope not.

Great location in downtown Toronto only a few blocks from many hospitals. Room was clean and quiet, features and wifi was average, check in and out was quick. Park in underground parking right at the hotel. Restaurant in the hotel was not bad for a quick meal. Hotel may offer a hospital rate when not busy.

I stayed at the Chelsea Hotel on Jan 10 for a conference. It was clean, was not too far from the Eaton Centre and other sites, and had free wifi. The breakfast though was WAY over priced! 22$ for continental? Crazy!!

Downtown hotels can be expensive, but the Chelsea offers a nice room and amenities for a reasonable price. After I originally booked the hotel, I started noticing not so great reviews, which made me nervous. Thankfully, I had NO issues whatsoever and found everything to be to my liking. Hotel is clean, food convenient and good, rooms small, but nice...

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
