The rooms were clean and tidy. They looked a little more shabby than the hotel lobby which looked fancy. Air con was noisy. But it had everything we needed in a good location. The concierge lady was extremely helpful.

This hotel is not far from tourist attractions. Public transportation is really close to the hotel. Plenty of restaurants around the area to try. My room had a great view of the city from our balcony. At night, you can see the beautiful city lights. They have a gym, pool and hot tub which I loved located on the 26th... More

My husband and I enjoyed our 3 night stay. Compared to our stay in June at another hotel, this was a great location, clean-fair sized room, great staff, easy quick check in and check out. We had no complaints about our stay. Great price for a Toronto weekend getaway!

for the price and value you get, it was a great hotel to stay at. The lobby had a restaurant, and a bar that was good. Close to all amenities, and restaurants, walking distance from Dundas square. We can't complain for the price.

I stayed here for 3 nights on my way back from Cuba, en route to New York. I found the hotel ok, some good points and some bad points. On arrival we queued for about 30 mins to get checked in, as the hotel lobby was extremely busy. Once we got our room, we were very disappointed with the room... More

A friend and I just returned from a 4 night stay at this hotel. The location is great and the check in was fast and smooth but we did arrive on a Thursday. Lines were much longer over the weekend. I have stayed at the Chelsea frequently over the years and have noticed that the rooms are tired but the service has always been good. However,my recent stay showed nothing that I could recommend about the check in service. I had paid for a deluxe room because i had realized that these rooms have been updated and nice. The clerk... This place is pretty run down! They dont seem to mind taking the money with little return. I might be biased because of all the time spent in Las Vegas where rooms are much better for the price. Lets start when I called in for my reservation I was getting a group rate. The lady who answered said I cannot... More

Stayed two nights at the Eaton Chelsea in a "deluxe king" room. Check in was not particularly warm and welcoming but efficient. I asked for a higher floor in my booking, but was initially given a 6th floor room. When I asked if a higher floor was available, was told no, but miraculously she then found me a higher room... Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
