I had a problem in the past with temperatures in the room but the staff are so accommodating. This trip I got upgraded to a junior suite to make up for it. It's a great room! The front desk staff were very friendly and the hotel manager even called to check if this room was satisfactory. I have stayed here...

Not a wam inviting hotel. Indifferent and outdated. Small lobby is completely dominated by a bar...have to walk by it every time you walk in and out of the place. Had a DJ when we arrived. Room felt old and tired. Thin walls..could hear the conversation from the next room...which made it hard to relax. Couldn't get the room to...

We stayed at Marriott Bloor Yorkville for 3 nights, during easter holiday. One word is enough to describe the location of the hotel: Perfect... Right in the middle of main attractions of the city, Royal Ontario Museum, University of Toronto, very nice stores and restaurants, are all at walking distance. And in addition to all, metro station is right under...

We chose this Marriott hotel because of it's location which was close to our son's apartment and stayed for 4 nights. The hotel itself is nicely located next to the metro station which makes getting to/from the airport and around the city easy, Staff at the hotel were all very professional, friendly and helpful - especially at check-in and in...

We had a wonderful dining experience at the Marriot due to exceptional service by Rashid. He helped make every facet of the meal easy. We recommend the hotel choices for brunch. Also Rashid was able to make our most difficult request seem easy.

I want to review my waiter at Matisse restaurant, Mesfin. He was very attentive and accommodating. He was very friendly and informative when he chatted with us when we asked numerous questions about the city. He was very helpful and made us feel very welcome. He is quite an asset to Marriott and he noted that he has worked at...

We had an issue with our room and Management immediately responded. The genuine and authentic customer service made us feel more like family than guests. That care continued throughout our entire stay. We had reservations at a nearby restaurant but Rui was so attentive at the Lobby bar that we ended up staying for the evening. Perfect example of how...

I recently stayed at this hotel for 3 nights along with 3 business colleagues. The service was good. The staff were polite. The hotel is a bit dated but adequate. The room was well cleaned daily and the bed was comfortable. My major complaint AND IT IS M,AJOR is with their billing practice. When booking the room we were advised...

Dear MichaelVancouver_BC Thank you for your comments regarding your recent stay with us and we are sorry that you have had reason to complain about the DMP charge and our inability to explain it to your satisfaction. At no time do we want our guests to feel that we are anything less than transparent. It is true that in most...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
Midtown is a dynamic part of Toronto with some of its most stylish high-rise residences and heritage buildings. The area sees busy shoppers with bag-laden arms balancing lattes in paper cups as they travel from one luxury brand to the next, taking advantage of the proximity of high-end shops. The reflecting pools, jogging trails, and nature treks of the Rosehill Revision are always a hub of outdoor activity, and after a workout from either running or splurging, many take advantage of the spas and massage parlors Midtown has to offer. Away from the bakeries, boutiques, and glamorous old theaters of the district's center, locals use the weekend to embrace the more suburban feel of Midtown's parks, tennis courts, outdoor markets, and the manicured grounds of Casa Loma, while families indulge the area's state-of-the-art playground and learning facilities. Of course, no high-brow district is complete without a healthy counter-culture: Midtown boasts some of the wildest street art and full-wall graffiti of any neighborhood in Toronto.
