This hotel had a great location traveling by subways and walking to lots of different neighborhoods. We were upgraded to a junior suite which was abit large for us but the sitting area was nice since we were staying three nights. Bed was very comfortable. Concierge and front desk helpful for restaurant reservations and a glitch with printing boarding passes....

This Marriott hotel is very centrally located, within walking distance to the Royal Ontario Museum, the University of Toronto, tons of restaurants and shopping and right at the Yonge/Bloor subway. Very helpful staff, clean, well laid out and nicely decorated rooms and a beautiful bathroom. I agree with other reviewers that free wi-fi should be standard. Ordered room service and...

This hotel is a pretty average city hotel. Pretty much like any other Marriott hotel you would find in any other large cities. If you are doing things in the area around the hotel, high end shopping, visiting the museum or the college, this is a great place to stay. We were not doing things right around the hotel though...

Very welcoming well trained staff throughout the stay.Wonderful area of the city for a walking tours.High end shops of Yorkville, restaurants and museums are a short stroll away. Beautiful apointed rooms with great sleep quality. The only minor negetive I found was the room window really need to be cleaned, otherwise, spotless.

The location is great, within walking distance to a ton of restaurants and shopping. The rooms were a nice size and clean. Others are mentioning out-dated rooms, mine was not. So perhaps I got a room that had been renovated. However, there is no free wi-fi, which is ridiculous and should be standard. Front-desk staff were very helpful and gave...

Last weekend I staayed at the Marriott and although the hotel was nice ( what i would expect for $184 per night) the esperience still left a bad taste in my moutn. It is a wonder they didn't put a coin slot on the bathroom and charge people to go pee. The first thing I noticed was a notice in...

We stayed here for one night - wish is was longer. Beautiful hotel in the heart of Toronto. Was fortunate enough to get the room at a great price compared to other hotels in Toronto. Seems like a very expensive place to stay. Access to subway was very easy. Room was large, clean. We were in room 625 which was...

We attended a wedding and stayed at this hotel for one night. It is just above the subway in a very nice area of the city. It was very easy to get to from Union Station. The rooms are a very nice size and quite nice but are in need of a facelift soon. It would be nice if the...

We have stayed here twice and both times were really impressed by the excellent and friendly service by Marriott staff. On our last stay the concierge was unavailable and we enjoyed a complimentary delicious hot breakfast via room service. The second morning we went to their restaurant and had the breakfast buffet. Yogurt, pastries, fresh fruit, cereals, hot foods and...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
Midtown is a dynamic part of Toronto with some of its most stylish high-rise residences and heritage buildings. The area sees busy shoppers with bag-laden arms balancing lattes in paper cups as they travel from one luxury brand to the next, taking advantage of the proximity of high-end shops. The reflecting pools, jogging trails, and nature treks of the Rosehill Revision are always a hub of outdoor activity, and after a workout from either running or splurging, many take advantage of the spas and massage parlors Midtown has to offer. Away from the bakeries, boutiques, and glamorous old theaters of the district's center, locals use the weekend to embrace the more suburban feel of Midtown's parks, tennis courts, outdoor markets, and the manicured grounds of Casa Loma, while families indulge the area's state-of-the-art playground and learning facilities. Of course, no high-brow district is complete without a healthy counter-culture: Midtown boasts some of the wildest street art and full-wall graffiti of any neighborhood in Toronto.
