I had 2 days in Toronto after a lovely trip to Vancouver so I booked some budget accomodation to save a few pennies. When I arrived the staff were very informative (if a bit militant) and they gave me details of my room/breakfast/wi-fi etc.
I wouldn't stay there again.
I stayed in the 22nd floor and the A/C didn't worked and it was really really hot in the room.
Also my bed wasn't really clean there were hairs on my pillow and I didn't feel comfortable with that.
stayed there for 3 nights during world pride (late June). The location is really central. its only a 5 minute walk to the gay village, and 10 minute walk to Dundas square (the main square in Toronto). The room itself was high up on the...More
The location is excellent but the whole building is a little run down. It's a student residence and no hotel. Cleanliness could be better. WiFi only free on 22nd floor, otherwise it's 4 CAD per day or 10 CAD per week. Breakfast is ok, but...More
Great location and value if you need a place to sleep. Washrooms are clean, showers are hot, people aren't too noisy, and breakfast is included which is a nice plus. The lounge upstairs has internet which was perfect since we were there for business.

At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of
vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
