Strategic location so good for business people Breakfast quality ok Staff especially Vincent is rude. He ruined my stay in the hotel. He expects foreigners in his country to immediately understand him. He is very disrespectful and should be removed if this Marriott hotel wants to retain their great image of customer service The inclusions in the ala carte is...

Recently renovated rooms are good standard and generously sized with modern facilities. Food in restaurant is a little limited and bar area is extremely small but there are plenty of eating places nearby on streets such as College Street. Staff are friendly and helpful and we would be happy to stay here again for a few days.

in the heart of Toronto, upscale rooms, we used an wheelchair room that was well laid out, with an large bathroom that could accommodate an electric wheelchair. Valet parking was efficient. Cafeteria style restaurant had above average food at reasonable prices

Although Reception was disorganised and had to wait ages because of lots of rude teenagers checking in, Hotel itself was clean with great room sizes and in decent decorative order. Once in room it was really comfortable and felt really relaxed and quiet. It is fairly corporate and impersonal with little character but everything worked and staff were really good....

Why would a hotel have a room service menu that details its service hours but not actually have room service? This smallish hotel was also overrun by a large conference that filled the small cafe area. Great location though

It has been a while since we stayed here because it always seemed dirty and dated, well the renovations have transformed it into something nice. The lobby is new and clean and our suite was large and extremely clean. It was nice to have a fridge and a microwave and the over sized bathroom was great. The staff were friendly...

Had a great stay here. The room was a good size, clean, and my floor was nice and quiet. Only a block from a big Shopper's Drug Mart(in case you forget hairspray!!!) and close to coffee shops as well. Only a $10 cab ride from Union Station(you could easily walk this distance if you don't have much luggage).

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
