Staff were nice but hotel needs upgrading. Good location but don't expect a lot from the rooms. Parking is a 5 minute walk away. Not too bad most of the year but would suck in January,February.

I initially chose this hotel because of the price - what's the point spending 200/night for a room you'll rarely be in? So this place was cheap and the location was actually pretty nice - and it got better as I explored the neighbourhood. If you walk east on Queen or King you'll find dozens of antique shops, pubs, restaurants... More

We only booked at this HoJo hotel because it was the only thing we could get for a reasonable price on a busy sports weekend, with the Blue Jays and the World Cup going on. The room was small, smelled weird, and must've only had a single pane window b/c we could hear the street cars all night long!

The photos of this hotel was NOTHING like what it was in person. The rooms were extremely small and it was in a very run down area. The website stated that it was 0.6 miles away from DT Toronto, which was not the case. They were not accommodating or caring about how upset I was. They did not refund me... More

Was located in an older area. The hotel was also older, but nice. The room was clean. They provided a Continental Breakfast. My husband is somewhat disabled, and uses a walker. I did let them know that when I booked. They are not Disabled Accessible, as far a ramps etc. No elevator. Staff were nice and gave us a room... More

The first issue was that the hotel has no parking. The closest parking is six blocks away. The room was far too small to do anything but sleep. Could not even set up my computer to do any work. Breakfast had nothing I could eat, being gluten sensitive.(No fresh fruit or yogurt, no hot entrees. It had no elevator so... More

Parking is blocks away through a dark dingy neighbourhood. Room and windows were very dirty. The only chair was a broken office chair on wheels. Bedding had cigarette burns. This is below an economy hotel. It is a very dingy dive.

Staying in West End

Neighbourhood Profile
West End
The go-to area for new business start-ups, the spry and creative persona of the West End thrives along its streets. Its independent boutiques, galleries, restaurants, and shops offer brands that can't be found elsewhere. Buildings with ground floor consumer spaces sport up-top artist's lofts, and the West End attracts artists, designers, and fashion industry professionals to its living quarters. It is in the cross-hairs of gentrification, but still resisting it with ironic relish. Hot deals can still be found here on furniture and knick-knacks,. Its call to culinary glory is in its well-priced homemade Polish food, hosting Toronto's go-to spots for hot pierogis and cold borscht. High Park, the largest green space in the city, is a place for dreamers and poets to wander and rest, not to mention a number of energetic actors staging outdoor plays in the summertime.
