Stayed for 3 nights for wedding anniversary celebration. Customer service is impeccable and exactly what is expected from the Ritz. Arrived early in the a.m. and concierge took our luggage and texted us when a room became available for us to check-in earlier than the normal time. In the meantime, we were given a comp for a breakfast at the...

I had my first experience at the Spa yesterday and it was the best I have ever been to so far. The moment you walk in the staff were so attentive and friendly. The fitness centre is the best I have seen in a hotel; it has all the state of the art equipment and extremely clean. The best part...

I often visit the spa at the Ritz with my sisters or girlfriends and I would like to acknowledge one particular individual. Erika at the spa desk has assisted me numerous times and is a fantastic asset to the team. She remembers me every time, and even remembers details on my life that I've mentioned in passing (ie my sister's...

The Ritz has done it again. Exceptional quality, cleanliness, and friendliness of the staff. The in-room dining is excellent. You can't beat the location either. We had a corner suite and it was literally sweet. The bed was very comfortable and my daughter said the pullout sofa was comfortable too.

This hotel experience was incredible. I have not historically been a Ritz fan, being so stuffy in so many locales. Though I know they are trying hard to change that perception. The decor of this new hotel is simply superior, with clean lines, top shelf materials and superb workmanship. This IMHO, equals and even surpasses the understated elegance of some...

I stayed at the Ritz this past June. The Ritz is one of my favorite hotels in Toronto. Starting from check-in, the front desk staff was extremely professional and helpful. Check-in was problem free. I stayed in a decent sized suite. My room was modern, spacious, and clean. The bathrooms are quite large and clean. The water pressure in the...

I love this hotel. I am always so lucky to have one of the corner suites with a great view and club access. It truly makes being away from home not so bad at all. From the staff, to the location, to the bars, to the food and exercise facility this hotel never disappoints. It is truly worth the nightly...

I stayed there with my boyfriend for our 1st anniversary. They welcomed us with champagne. Our room was very beautiful, clean, there were balloons, cupcakes, and a congratulatory message left in the room. Staff were very friendly, very helpful and welcoming. We also tried out the high tea at the hotel. Would recommend as well.

Stayed here with my wife and daughter for one night on our way to Algonquin Provincial Park. The staff and people were courteous, friendly and helpful. They made sure all of our needs were taken care of and made us welcomed. We ate at the restaurant, used the spa and the pool and the concierge was very helpful.

Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
