We visited Toronto for a Blue Jays game the weekend of September 24-26th and stayed at this great B&B on Walker Avenue and Yonge. Our room was lovely and spacious and on the second floor. It has the ensuite as we don't particularly like sharing bathrooms. There is a cabinet with a few necessities in case you forgot some. This...

Wonderful place to stay. Owners are amazing. House is very clean and well kept. Breakfast was always delicious. 3 min. to subway allows for easy access to downtown. This bed and breakfast is highly recommended.

On this trip I had a lovely room on the upper floor--everything you need is there. Cool, quiet air conditioning in the summer, lovely soap, shampoo, toothpaste, fluffy white towels, lots of space and fabulous fast internet. My room was spacious bright and airy. The hosts, Jill and Valur have the knack to true hospitality, warmth, and welcome. The opposite...

We used to live on Walker Ave and if we now have to visit Toronto, and have to stay overnight, we love to stay at #53. Jill, daughter of the former host, and her husband Val, renovated and updated the house a couple of years ago, and are doing a terrific job of running this lovely B&B. As the other...

I was the sole guest for a 2-night stay in Toronto. Very close to subway station, great neighbourhood, and extremely welcoming environment, with super hosts! We shared some good conversation, and the breakfast was just what was needed to get me on my way for a conference.

My husband and I spent two nights here in June. The owners are lovely, our room was spotless and comfortable, and breakfast was fresh, homemade, and delicious. It's in a perfect location - close to the subway, and within walking distance of Bloor and Yonge. We plan to stay here again, and have recommended this place to several of our...

My husband and I were looking for an ideally located spot for a one night getaway from a Friday to Saturday in Toronto and Walker Avenue B & B fit the bill. Ideally located in the Yonge and Summerhill area, Walker Ave., is a quiet oasis with beautiful and well maintained old homes. We made use of the free parking...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown is a dynamic part of Toronto with some of its most stylish high-rise residences and heritage buildings. The area sees busy shoppers with bag-laden arms balancing lattes in paper cups as they travel from one luxury brand to the next, taking advantage of the proximity of high-end shops. The reflecting pools, jogging trails, and nature treks of the Rosehill Revision are always a hub of outdoor activity, and after a workout from either running or splurging, many take advantage of the spas and massage parlors Midtown has to offer. Away from the bakeries, boutiques, and glamorous old theaters of the district's center, locals use the weekend to embrace the more suburban feel of Midtown's parks, tennis courts, outdoor markets, and the manicured grounds of Casa Loma, while families indulge the area's state-of-the-art playground and learning facilities. Of course, no high-brow district is complete without a healthy counter-culture: Midtown boasts some of the wildest street art and full-wall graffiti of any neighborhood in Toronto.
