10 out of 10. Fire alarm was only downside to visit. We were given notice that the power would be turned off at 12:30 AM. Why then was not the City of Toronto notified so as to avoid the fire alarm going off at 12:45 AM? Maybe nothing could have been done. In that case, a warning that the alarm...

My partner and I live in Toronto but were looking for a staycation in the city. We had previously stayed at Le Germain and loved it but wanted to rotate and see what was out there. Unfortunately we were extremely disappointed with out stay at SoHo. Our trip was riddled with rude and uninformed staff members, fire alarms, power outages...

Stayed in Soho as a late Valentine's day. Very close to the CN Tower (less than 10 minutes walk), relatively close to Eaton Center (approx. 30 minutes walk). Location wise is great, though was some issues getting to hotel, though overall Toronto can be like this. Hotel was very nice and luxurious. Front desk staff were very friendly & helpful....

We booked a room here to attend The Second City and really appreciated the location. My pre-arrival email requests were addressed promptly and kindly within a day, and at check-in, I didn't need to remind them of my request. Impressive! The room was beautiful, peaceful, and appeared very clean. We had a little trouble with rolling into the center of...

This hotel is awesome. The rooms are spacious, heated bathroom floors, close to all shopping. Walking distance to ACC and Rogers stadium. You don't feel as though you're in a hotel, more of a residence. Our new go to hotel in Toronto.

I booked this hotel on the recommendation of a friend. The client service was beyond compare. The room was impeccably clean so much so that I actually wanted to have a bath. The bathroom floors are heated and the living room drapes are controlled by a switch next to the bed. There are three restaurants of which I did avail...

Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
