The Pantages hotel is a decent place to stay in downtown Toronto. It's a good location, the staff was helpful and friendly. But the price was very very good via travelpony. My room was ok, but the bathroom was badly in need of refreshing. It's almost like they are in the process of renovating the hotel, but they haven't gotten...

I've stayed here several times and while I've tried a few other Toronto hotels, I think this is now my go to hotel to stay in Toronto. I even wish there were locations everywhere I travel! The staff tend to be very welcoming and even remember you. I have had experiences with distracted or curt staff once or twice but...

I've stayed here many times. They retain their staff which is a good sign - and when they greet me and say 'welcome home' anytime I come there, this makes me want to come back. I'm a big fan of the comfy beds - I had myself a skyline suite for a couple of weeks. Other times just the standard...

I went on Priceline to book a nicer than we normally stay in hotel for our anniversary. I bid on a 4 star hotel and I ended up with the Pantages Hotel and was disappointed when I saw the reviews here on Tripadvisor. The service was only lukewarm and I found the person who checked me in at the front...

My wife and I stayed this past weekend there and our experience lived up to our expectations. We have stay here before over the last 3 years (2 times). Upon arrival the Doorman greeted us and recognized us from the previous visits. Front Desk reception and treatment was first class. Public areas are clean and modern. Our first visit was...

I booked the Pantages through a third party supplier for a recent business trip to Toronto. When I arrived at the hotel I was told that my room was sold out and that they would put me up in another hotel at no cost to me. I understand these things happen, but when a hotel tells you that they are...

Booked a Saturday night stay at Pantages Hotel and spa through Expedia. Checked in rather late (6:30) waited for about 15 min for the valet and they did not come outside so we went in to track one down. He asked for our plate number and required is to go in and out various times to retrieve info. Not impressed...

We recently visited Pantages Hotel for our 3 daughters 13th birthdays. I had booked the hotel on Priceline and was unaware that they did not have many double rooms. Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
