Since we arrived, Mr. Tan was very kind and helpful with his advices for having a great experience at Toronto. Our room was the "Suite Cathedral". Very comfortable, big and wonderful bathroom. Breakfast was very nice and carefully prepared, paying attention to all kind of details. We strongly recommend it. From: Silvia & Guzmán

We checked in on a Monday evening to a very welcome arrival. The owner Mr Tan was brilliant, very helpful and very accommodating. I felt at home right away, he showed us the best local places to eat and was enthused to hear about the things we were doing on our trip. The breakfast in the morning was lovely, and...

Albert is a terrific host. Fun neighborhood and lots of great restaurants. The Bata Shoe Museum is 1/2 mile down the street on Bloor and was definitely worth going to. Skip the Bad Dog Comedy Club. You won't find any place any cleaner. The place was immaculate.

The stay was very comfortable from the moment I arrived. I stayed for twelve nights and Albert was glad to give me advice. The breakfast sittings were most enjoyable as I got to meet a number of interesting people from different walks of life. I will greatly miss 390 Clinton Street, Toronto.

This was the best B& B we stayed in Canada and we would certainly recomend anyone going to Toronto to stay there. Mr Tan was the consummate host, who cannot do enough for you. The B&B is in the Korean village with over 40 wonderful restraunts and 10 mins from Little Italy where another multitude of restaurants await. The Metro...

While Mr. Tan was a very good host and shared a wealth of local information for shopping and dining, there is room for overall improvement. First the good, the location was easy to find, our "Sunset" room had lots of storage space to hang clothes, the internet worked well, the room was clean and modern. Things which were okay were:...

We chose this as we wanted something different from the usual hotel and were not disappointed. Mr Tan is an excellent host, he was there to welcome us with a cup of tea although we arrived late in the evening, and provided us with all the maps and information we needed. The house is spotlessly clean and he obviously takes...

Staying in West End

Neighbourhood Profile
West End
The go-to area for new business start-ups, the spry and creative persona of the West End thrives along its streets. Its independent boutiques, galleries, restaurants, and shops offer brands that can't be found elsewhere. Buildings with ground floor consumer spaces sport up-top artist's lofts, and the West End attracts artists, designers, and fashion industry professionals to its living quarters. It is in the cross-hairs of gentrification, but still resisting it with ironic relish. Hot deals can still be found here on furniture and knick-knacks,. Its call to culinary glory is in its well-priced homemade Polish food, hosting Toronto's go-to spots for hot pierogis and cold borscht. High Park, the largest green space in the city, is a place for dreamers and poets to wander and rest, not to mention a number of energetic actors staging outdoor plays in the summertime.
