Loved the feel of this hotel. Big staircase, wide hallways, art galleries, happening Bar with live entertainment. Food was excellent in both restaraunts. In hip area of Toronto. Room (Rm 415) was clean and artistic. We had view of the skyline including CN tower. Open lounge area on each floor in centre so you can easily hear people talking from...

Great staff; friendly, accommodating and organized. Food was delicious, rooms were clean. 2nd floor gallery ceremony was an absolute dream and great for a small gathering of people. So impressed with everything, it was nothing short of amazing!

Disapointed by service, bed quality, price. I had great expectations when i booked thanks to the différent comments i read, but i didn't get what i expected. Poor reception service, and really unfriendly staff for breakfast, old smell in the room, poor quality of the bed for the price we pay. however good location in a trendy but noisy street

The hotel was very unique and fascinating. I loved the art and the vintage feel to everything in there. Would definitely come again, but this time I'll take another designed room to experience different art :)

Everything was pleasant from check in to check out. I enjoyed shopping at the market. Very quiet room in spite of tons of activities on main floor. Very clean room enjoyed overall experience and would definitely return.

On a recent business trip, my colleague and I spent 2 ....unforgettable...nights at the Gladstone - located close to where our meetings would be held over the course of a few days. Our experience made for a crappy stay but a GREAT movie script! Creepy rooms, ear-shatteringly-loud bar below until 3 am nightly, zero services or amenities, and our favorite...

The hotel is magnificent. Old and well decorated, with so much history. The location is actually perfect, close to everything, about a $12 taxi ride to go in the middle of downtown. Service was great! They also have the oldest elevator in Toronto and it's fonctional, pretty impresive. The room was a little bit small, but I`ll go back for...

Overall great to see this beautiful historic building in complete working order and it's creative use to include the community is a testament to how Canadians cherish our colourful history. Definitely worth the drive down Queen St. W. in T.

The rooms are tiny but well designed. There is a smell coming from the shower drain. Everything was clean. Nice comfy bed with clean sheets. Not enviro friendly low flush toilets. Unique experience with interesting art and waiting lounges. Nice persian rugs and hardwood floors. Slanting floors and rooms. Know your exits in case of a fire...it would go down...

Staying in West End

Neighbourhood Profile
West End
The go-to area for new business start-ups, the spry and creative persona of the West End thrives along its streets. Its independent boutiques, galleries, restaurants, and shops offer brands that can't be found elsewhere. Buildings with ground floor consumer spaces sport up-top artist's lofts, and the West End attracts artists, designers, and fashion industry professionals to its living quarters. It is in the cross-hairs of gentrification, but still resisting it with ironic relish. Hot deals can still be found here on furniture and knick-knacks,. Its call to culinary glory is in its well-priced homemade Polish food, hosting Toronto's go-to spots for hot pierogis and cold borscht. High Park, the largest green space in the city, is a place for dreamers and poets to wander and rest, not to mention a number of energetic actors staging outdoor plays in the summertime.
