This is my 4th year visiting Baldwin Street when I return to Canada for the summers. Each time I have returned, I feel so welcomed by the kindness and sincerity of Roger and Tess. I am in good hands indeed! I have probably stayed in each room and each time I have had comfortable and clean beds and bedding. The...

This is the 4th time I've stayed here. Relaxed and friendly place with very sweet hosts, and very clean and comfortable, great coffee, etc. It is super convenient to university of toronto where I was working, and to Kensington market, etc. Very reasonable prices for the location. Will definitely stay there any time I'm in Toronto.

I stayed at the Baldwin over the third week of January 2014 .. and I was not intending to write a review but as I sit in another B/B in Quebec City at the moment I am having the motivation to type out my observations .. Where the Baldwin has an enjoyable easy going atmosphere it also goes at the...

Room was very clean and comfortable. Location for us was perfect. Drawbacks to otherwise perfect spot were lack of private washroom (shared only) and parking. We had to park in a city lot on another street. We couldn't give the inn top marks since we compared it to other b&b's whose rooms and services were far superior. Overall our experience...

First of all, I want to apologize for taking so long to write down my review, should have done this long ago. I stayed with Roger and Tess on September 2013 and I spent 37 nights there so I had plenty of time to form an opinion on the place. I didn't stay at Baldwin Village Inn itself, but in...

This past July, I spent one night while at a conference at this charming B&B, located just south of the University of Toronto, near subway, Chinatown, and a block away from the AGO, surrounded by small restaurants and cafes on and near Baldwin Street. Roger, the host, takes pride in introductions to regulars and new arrivals from other countries. As...

Thank you for your wonderful review. Now in our 7th year, we have had over 7000 wonderful guests many of whom are regular clients for many years and have adopted the Inn as their Toronto home. A small correction and as an additional note, we have a total of 3 Inns in the same neighborhood, clustered around the Art Gallery...

I spent 4 nights in the Sullivan Street shared house and 2 nights at the Baldwin Village Inn, both run by a very welcoming couple and their delightful daughter. Rooms were comfortable, clean and quiet. The bedroom in Baldwin lacked an ensuite and tv but that was not a big inconvenience for me, as a single person. Meals at Sullivan...

The tiny, unassuming front of the house belies the warm, homey interior you encounter once inside Baldwin Village Inn. The entire home is very clean, spacious and well maintained. The building itself is very secure and you get your own passcode to enter. Parking is at a nearby lot, which by Toronto standards is an affordable $20 for a day,...

My wife and I spent one night at this pleasant, friendly B&B. Location is central, close to subway stop (5 minutes or less) and close to the AGO as well. Breakfast is included and consisted of eggs, various cheeses, toast etc. The room had a queen size bed which was comfortable and quiet and a sofa for sitting as well...

Baldwin village inn was amazing. The location was awesome for getting to Kensignton Market, Chinatown, Queen St. West, City Hall, King st West, etc. - all the key downtown spots for exploring Toronto. The B&B was located on a quiet, safe street and surrounded by quaint shops, cafes, and restaurants. Really great street. The b&b also has an awesome backyard...

Staying in Chinatown

Neighbourhood Profile
Toronto's main Chinatown has the honor of being the largest in North America. Gaping down across Dundas Street West and Spadina Avenue, the area is a wonderful medley of shops and restaurants, busy signs and bright red gates, a destination for foodie fun. Chinatown's streets are always bustling, packed with people and outdoor stalls hawking fresh produce and products. The restaurants and authentic marketplaces that shoulder in against each other display shining roast ducks and menus studded with dumplings and noodle bowls. The air is pervaded with music. different languages, and the smell of fried food and mouth-watering desserts. Chinatown's restaurants represent a broad range of fare, from traditional Szechuan and Shanghai foods, to other Asian delicacies, including some of the top Japanese, Vietnamese, and Korean spots in the city. Whether you're in the mood for a sit-down tea house or a bubble tea to go, Chinatown is the spot to enjoy an exciting walk and the promise of leaving satisfied.
