The Reason You Should Stay At This B&B: The Breakfast! Their provided breakfasts are so amazing. Their staff would cook us all a fresh breakfast each morning, whenever we arose. Every morning had freshly squeezed orange juice and a fresh fruit course before each breakfast. Our filling breakfasts included french toasts, ham and melted cheese croissants, and blueberry pancakes. Each...

We stayed with Jay and Carol for 5 days in the Peake Suite. Breakfast was great, and they catered to my son's less than exotic tastes for breakfast. The kitchenette in this suite was great and let us eat in - if we'd had a long day. My 6 year old son loved Charlottetown and he enjoyed Carol and Jay....

Jay & Carol are all you could ask for in a host & hostess. We had a delightful couple nights with them. They were a wealth of information of what to do and what to see on the PEI. Excellent recommendations on restaurants. The location is fairly easy to find but don't blink because you might miss the sign on...

An amazing experience. If we could give it a ten we would. We stayed for three nights in the Library room which was clean spacious and well appointed. Carol and Jay have left nothing out when it comes to decor and amenities. The home is beautiful. Breakfasts were delicious each and every morning served in the beautiful dining room. Carol...

The most difficult part of writing this review is that I have nothing original to say. If you've read the other reviews, you've heard it time after time. This is a lovely historic inn, and the decor reflects times gone by. But it's what Carol and Jay bring to the table (literally, in some ways) that makes this Inn outstanding....

Jay and Carol MacDonald could not be more welcoming or accommodating. We stayed four nights earlier this month in two of the Elmwood's smaller (but very comfortable) rooms—on the second and third floors—and we were treated to a sumptuous breakfast every morning and an abundance of good advice for each day's activities in town and around the island. The MacDonalds...

My husband and I stayed here for 6 nights in the Premier Suite, the room itself was comfortable for the most part (bed very nice) but the temperature in the room was uncomfortable at times. We left for the day and put the air conditioning on to insure the room would be cooler when we came back but when we...

We recently stayed at Elmwood Heritage Inn for a week. Though we are "veteran B&B" people, we found this to be the best yet! Lovely, lovely, lovely....that is the word when it comes to the house, the accommodations, the breakfast, Jay and Carol's attention and helpfulness....everything! I could repeat what has been said in the other positive recommendations, but let...

Located in a quiet neighborhood with beautiful trees and grounds. Location was perfect to see PEI. Breakfast was delicious. You could eat at dining room table or there are smaller tables for 2 to 4 to eat. Jay and Carol make you feel like family. Rooms are all unique and comfortable. A delightful place to stay. And be sure to...
