Disappointing. The hotel amenities state that there is a 24 hour free airport shuttle bus, it does not run 24 hours. We had to pay for a taxi back to the airport. There was a cold water dispenser with lemons in the lobby but it was empty. A coffee machine was provided in the room, however, of the 3 coffee pods one was used and only thin plastic cold beverage cups were provided. The room was big, shows signs of wear but the air conditioning worked well and the bed was comfortable. The area around the hotel is a typical airport hotel, not much going on.

Hotel's Favourite
Stayed overnight to allow car rental pickup in am (common theme). Hotel staff were very good and accomdating. Shuttle doesnt run after 10pm. Taxi ride ($18) reimbursed by hotel. Morning shuttle bus ran on schedule (albeit with a missing back window - I assume that will be fixed shortly). Room was modern, clean and good mattress. Didnt get to try pool or gym. Good option for an overnight stay near airport. Airport is adjacent to industrial park... no amenities nearby - driving required. Would definitely stay again!

Rounding up from a 2.7. Lots of really dismal reviews on this place, was forced to stay here due to Grand Prix weekend cancellation at other property and want to offer comments. By far not "the worst ever" but needs many infrastructure and service improvements. First, this is an AIRPORT hotel. Hint, next to an airport will sound like airplanes and be loud. Airports are transit hubs and there are lots of trucks around. North-end rooms are loud but the "01" king suites have a great view of an active runway if you like to watch planes. Being next to an airport it is also the "middle of nowhere" if you don't have a vehicle. These are facts of life for an airport hotel and don't influence this rating or review. Pros: 1) Staff were friendly and helpful, just really overworked. Be kind y'all. 2) Hotel honoured their price for the Grand Prix weekend (price locked in months earlier at low rate) and didn't jack us around for increases like some downtown hotels will. $250/night for a suite is pretty cheap rate. 3) Lobby and gym were nice and clean, gym well equipped (weights, cardio, floor space, mutli gym). Pool looked nice. 4) King balcony suites are huge (we had 2), with full living/dining room, kitchette/bar, fold out, separate bedroom, bathroom with both shower stall and full tub (01 suite). 5) Shuttle drivers were all very helpful. FYI book shuttles in advance through the front desk. Quick trips to the airport (10 min or less). 6) There is a free play classic arcade game in the mezzanie! 7) Parking was free. Meh: 1) Resto has short hours, meh food, no room service. 2) Other food options limited on delivery apps due to location - highly recommend Lachine Arena Pizza on the apps. 3) Mattress was a bit on the soft side. 4) 25% of pillows were feather in a "no feathers" request. Cons: 1) Lack of maintenance shows in-room: worn floor where there was hole under the fake wood, broken toilet handle, some stains on bathroom wall, ratty faux leather dining table seats, water damage on wall next to bathtub.Every floor lamp had a broken switch and, like a peasant, you had to just plug them into the wall for light. Some hallways had SMELLS. 2) Lack of housekeeping - will only make up a room on request and for a fee if stay is less than 5 days. No garbage collection on weekend (put out garbage on a Friday that sat till Monday, cool!). 3) Parking lot is sketchy - no access control (except for the broken/rusty Chevy Express blocking one exit) and only half the lights work. Unsafe. 4) the balcony of the suite was damp/disgusting and the door to it fit poorly. Could hear the wind whistling through. Tip: Get a King Balcony Suite - Massive space. The "01" King suites face north and the airport, are noisier but you get to see planes AND they have both a shower and full bath. The "35" King suites face the parking lot (no separate shower). It's not dismal or flop BUT it needs maintenance.

I have been a loyal IHG member for more than 20 years, currently hold diamond elite status which is the highest you can achieve. I have stayed in IHG hotels all over the world and this hotel is by far the worst I’ve ever stayed in. WHY?. 1) Staff are miserable and most have little interest in talking to the customers. 2) There simply is not enough staff. 3) The restaurant/bar closes at 2200. 4) Menu is poor and needs more choice. One scoop of ice cream is not good enough as a sole desert. 4) If you want anything cooked for breakfast, be prepared to wait a minimum of 30 mins even to be acknowledged and receive a menu, the same in the vending for dinner. 5) Upon checking in you must request that your room is serviced/cleaned. Although you are not told of this, in my 7 days stay my room was cleaned twice with towels changed. 6) The car park has no patrol or control, I witnessed people simply parking there cars and then driving of with others in another car. So in my well traveled opinion… AVOID and choose somewhere else.

It was by far the worst experience in this hotel group. Started with the shuttle driver who was bluntly asking for tip, which was very awkward since we landed from overseas and had no Canadian money. The room was not very clean: there was some rice under the table. The hotel was supposed to set up a fold out couch for us-they did not. When we called the housekeeping they just dropped the pile of bedding on the couch and left-and this is after the hotel charges Service charge. The only highlight of this experience was a front desk girl (Nadinne) who prior our arrival left some cat food for us as we were relocating with two cats and Canada would not allow bring cat food from overseas. This was very kind of her.

You have to pay for breakfast $15 per person to get eggs and bacon... it was hard to get a hold of the front desk and people were unkind when we had questions as we are not from Montreal. It was not a good experience for $100 per night.

Stayed 3 nights. Worst experience ever. They took the 5$ tip each morning for cleaning but didn't do a thing. They even dared walked away with a full coca cola can. No refill of k-cup for my last morning. Taking the money without providing service is called stealing... I was leaving every morning around 8:00 and I never saw the cleaning personal. Will never go back and might never go to a Holiday Inn hotel again.

The Holiday Inn Express & Suites Montréal Airport is located near the Montreal Pierre-Elliott-Trudeau international airport. This neighborhood is not very interesting because it is mostly industrial without much commercial or touristic attraction nearby. I booked a King Bed Suite, directly on the IHG website, for 131$ per night, plus taxes and fees, during Covid. I consider this rate competitive based on the type of establishment and the type of room. The property This property offers many services and equipment to its clients. Despite the sanitary restriction, imposed by Covid, the services were all accessible with minor restrictions. So, there is a pool, a gym, and an area for meals, directly in the hotel lobby. There seems to be an area planned for a bar, but this area of the hotel is under renovation. Although it is forbidden to smoke, I have noticed that some clients use the balconies to smoke. There was a strong cannabis smell in the corridor leading to my room. The corridor in the room floor is spacious. Parking is free. The room The room is spacious and divided in two sections by a large cabinet. There is a room section and a mainly living room section, with a sofa bed. There are two TVs in the room, one in each section. But I have found only one remote compatible with a single TV. Since I didn’t need the second TV, I didn’t bother mentioning this issue to the management. The bed is very comfortable, and the sofa bed also, which is surprising. The room is clean. The floor is made of some kind of very hygienic plastic flooring. There is a working desk, with a comfortable rolling chair. There are several power outlets on the desk, but none of them were working. Surprising detail, there is no easel to place a suitcase. The bath room The bathroom is clean, of good size and equipped with the basics. The shower is in a bath. The counter space is sufficient. Services I have encountered all kind of issues during this stay at this hotel. First, the room that I was initially assigned was not the one that I have booked. The management made the change without hesitation. Then, there was towels missing in the bathroom, insufficient for two persons. The personnel couldn’t supply the missing towels because, they said, I came in two late. Even if there was a sofa bed in the room, the sheets for that bed were not available in the room. The staff brought me the missing sheets at my request. The staff answered to all my requests in a courteously manner, but they are not very friendly. The breakfast is not included in the room rate and, during my stay, only a 15$ per person buffet was offered. The à la carte service was not available. The buffet had a nice variety of cold and hot choices. But for someone looking for a quick, on the go, breakfast, I feel that this amount is a bit too expensive. If you are not interested with the food served at the hotel, there is a Tim Horton’s restaurant at a 5 minutes walking distance. Wireless internet access (Wi-Fi) is free and excellent. The devil is in the details: - Error in room assignment. - Missing towels, and bed sheets. - Missing TV remote. - Enforcing non-smoking rule. - Power outlets not functional. - Cannabis smell. Pros - Near the airport. - Spacious and comfortable suite. Cons - Nothing much around. - Lack of options for breakfast. - Too any issues during my stay.

This was the absolute worst hotel service experience we have ever had… Hands down! We arrived in Montreal and booked our hotel, one key feature was the airport transportation feature, less stress and traditionally decent rooms. We called the hotel 6 times for the shuttle, we waited for over at least 30 min to answer the phone, it gave no context we were waiting just a long infomercial on the hotel… other hotel shuttles were comment on how it was not right, they should have been there already, we even called the reservation line as we didn’t know what else to do, they answered quite quickly… I guess they don’t have your money yet so it’s faster? Finally, the shuttle came after a total of almost an hour waiting for an on demand service, then the driver took a side hustle to drop someone at the Via Rail location for cash, not that it was long, but we waited and were annoyed that we had to wait again. We get to the hotel, albeit a little early for checking in, we thought we could drop our luggage off and then go out for a bit and get our baby to have a nap in the stroller. The reception was very nice, but very flustered, it was just adding to the experience. Then another guest cut in front of us, and started begging them (as we were checking in and sorting the room out) for an iPhone charger… I had to tell the other client there was charging ports at the benches, but still again we are not important… They told us it would be 50.00 for an early check in, however I just wanted to drop my bags if a room was not ready… annoyed, they waived it. My wife wanted to have a shower, so I started it for her, the water started, the hose on the wand was lose I got drenched in water and the clip to hold the shower head was lose and the head fell over, soaking me even more. I changed and got in with my day that much more bitter. We were told in the evening to be down at 5 and if not we would wait for the next ride, fair enough. The next morning we made our way downstairs and it was the same person was to drive us back to the airport. We were sitting there waiting and it was now past 5 and had a flight to catch. They kept telling us to wait for another room, however they were very specific to us that they would just leave us the night prior if not down by 5 sharp! The driver mad a big point to say I wanted to wait tell them that! What about us who had a flight to catch, listened to the rules and showed up respectfully? We are dog meat? This was evident as the driver would not touch our bags or the baby stroller, was ignoring us and just plain rude. This was the worst hotel experience ever!

From the leaf-blown foyer to the A/C freezing room (set to 54F) with windows that wouldn’t open, to the weirdest tap at knee level in the shower, a broken seal on the shower door& doors askew on the hutch cabinet, this hotel was a real disappointment. We only came for an airport layover but we expected something new and well maintained. It’s really not Holiday Inn quality. Mind you, maybe this is what passes for Holiday Inn quality now. I haven’t stayed in one in a while & won’t be again any time soon.
