Wow! This hotel was one of the best hotels that we have ever stayed at. The rooms were very clean and the hotel overall was very quiet. The location of the hotel was also perfect for walking around and being a tourist in Old Montreal....More
My friend and I stayed at Le Petit Hotel for our New Years visit to Montreal. It was our first time in Montreal and we could have picked a better location! Due to the extreme cold it was hard to make ourselves leave the room,...More
I was in Montreal for three nights and decided to "hotel hop", staying at Le Petit Hotel on the second night. I wish I had spent all three nights there. The hotel is on rue Saint Paul, which has to be the most charming street...More
My husband and I loved our one night stay at Le Petit Hotel. The staff are very helpful and friendly and the rooms are lovely and impeccably clean. I loved the exposed rocks on the walls, and the bed was very comfortable. There was continental...More
Great cute, quaint and cozy hotel. Not too many amenities but did have a fridge to keep some snacks in. Good location in historic Montreal near the cathedral and many restaurants. I would def stay here again.

The historic centre of Montreal, Vieux-Port is home to some of the city's most antiquated buildings and picturesque streets. Along the waters of the St. Lawrence River, the bank of Old Port features museums, festivals, food stalls, and outdoor athletics, a celebrated part of the city that explodes into fireworks displays on warm summer nights. At its centre, street performers and artists compete with
sprawling restaurant terraces for space along Jacques-Cartier Square, while the cobbled streets of Rue St. Paul and Rue Notre-Dame offer a reprieve of quiet galleries and atmospheric wine bars. Horse-drawn carriages are not an uncommon part of traffic, and the narrows they traverse are lined with boutiques, crêperies, and poutine shops enshrined in buildings of stone and wooden lattices. Here you can evoke Montreal's past with a traditional cooking lesson or historical tour, then enjoy its artistic present with live music and theatre.
I am not familiar with Le Germain, but the location for Le Petite was wonderful. My friend and I never rented a car, and we did all our sightseeing on foot or via the metro. Le Petite was in a perfect location.
