From the moment you arrive to your departure, all the staff at The Ritz Carlton - Montreal are welcoming and attentive but at the same time, creating a relaxed atmosphere. The attention to detail is first class.

Came to visit our daughter living in Montreal going to Mc Gill. Location is ideal. You really do feel pampered and looked after. I met one of the staff in the lobby after coming in from the snow, and was asked if I wanted bath salts sent up to the room - which I thought was a wonderful idea. Loved...

I decided to treat myself for an important birthday and checked in for 2 nights at the Ritz-Carlton Montreal. I am a difficult customer in the sense that I pick up on the smallest details. The Ritz did not disappoint. True luxury: quiet throughout, discreet service, irreproachable rooms with the latest technology. The bathroom was outstanding – and my guests...

The rooms are luxurious with the most modern and convenient amenities. Heated towel racks, fully automatic Japanese-style toilets, huge walk-in shower space. Window shades and blinds that are controlled from the bed side and much more.

Excellent hotel in the heart of Montreal. Recently refurbished to exactly high standards. Staff and service is perfection. I particularly enjoy the bar in the evening and the decor is tastefully done. I cannot fault this hotel in any way.

I have stayed numerous times at Le Ritz-Carlton Montreal since their remodelling several years ago, and the reason I stay there almost exclusively when in Montreal stems from the high level of personalized service - from the moment I drive up (Denis, long-time doorman is a gem!) through the complete stay to departure. Simon Bajouk (Concierge) is absolutely worthy of...

Location: close to restaurants, museums, shopping stores. I walked to almost every where, 25 min to Old Montreal, 25 min to Mont Royal. The subway station is about 5 min away walking. Staff: amazingly friendly and efficient. They made me feel welcome from the first second. Room: standard room was really big with a spacious WALK-IM distance. High-tech lightening system....

Lovely hotel staff was very attentive, Slippers at your bedside every night including many handwritten notes by various staff to make you feel special. Loved Simon our bartender! You must try the Cosmo's made with flowers made with so much special attention, Delicious bar food as well; try rice balls and croque monsieur. Breakfast was also a beautiful experience- either...

Great room beautifully appointed, exceptionally clean. Bathroom huge hit with the kids (Toto heated bidet toilet). Staff went out of way to accommodate and gave great restaurant recs that weren't touristy. Maison Boulud located in lobby was very very good. We didn't have time for tea or spa but both looked great.

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighbourhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
