I have stayed numerous times at Le Ritz-Carlton Montreal since their remodelling several years ago, and the reason I stay there almost exclusively when in Montreal stems from the high level of personalized service - from the moment I drive up (Denis, long-time doorman is a gem!) through the complete stay to departure. Simon Bajouk (Concierge) is absolutely worthy of...

Location: close to restaurants, museums, shopping stores. I walked to almost every where, 25 min to Old Montreal, 25 min to Mont Royal. The subway station is about 5 min away walking. Staff: amazingly friendly and efficient. They made me feel welcome from the first second. Room: standard room was really big with a spacious WALK-IM distance. High-tech lightening system....

Lovely hotel staff was very attentive, Slippers at your bedside every night including many handwritten notes by various staff to make you feel special. Loved Simon our bartender! You must try the Cosmo's made with flowers made with so much special attention, Delicious bar food as well; try rice balls and croque monsieur. Breakfast was also a beautiful experience- either...

Wow, is all I can say. I was blown away by the service of the Ritz Montreal. We had the best time at the hotel for a long weekend. The high tea and Maison Boulud was beyond words. I have and 8 year old and she loved the pool and the tea party. Thank you to Janet Oakley one of...

Great room beautifully appointed, exceptionally clean. Bathroom huge hit with the kids (Toto heated bidet toilet). Staff went out of way to accommodate and gave great restaurant recs that weren't touristy. Maison Boulud located in lobby was very very good. We didn't have time for tea or spa but both looked great.

Very nice hotel. Very comfortable rooms with heated & fully equipped toilets ;). Professional & kind staff. A little too rare (probably due to taxes & social expenses on labor) Nice swimming pool on the top floor with saunas in the changing rooms

Words can’t describe the incredible experience that we had at the Ritz-Carlton, Montreal. Almost a year ago, I booked one of the Executive Suites to celebrate my partner’s 40th birthday. A day after my reservation, I was contacted by one of members of the Concierge desk to offer their services in advance and assist me with any requests prior to my...

Neighbourhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
