I've been to La Conciergerie about 5 times and each time is a blessing. From a simple breakfast bar in the morning, to a staff and owners that are friendly and accommodating, and all within a place that is simply a home away from home. The walk to St Catherine is just blocks and right on the edge of too...

We picked La Conciergerie based on location and the excellent reviews. We were not disappointed. The house dates from the 1870's and our room retained the character of this era. We had a large room on the entry level at the back of the house and had no problems with noise during our visit. The decoration of the room evoked...

Initially I wasn't going to give this place a good review but with everything it has going for it, I could not. The location is great, a short walk to old Montreal and busy Ste Catherine. I stayed in 201 with a shared washroom. I was under the impression I would be sharing with only one other room. But it...

Chose this partly because affordable accommodation in a larger hotel wasn't appealling, and we were very happy. We chose the suite to have plenty of room, and it was very pleasant, including a small balcony that we really enjoyed. There is a lot of work involved in keeping up an older residence like this, and the finishing was excellent. The...

If you are going to Montreal and you want a place with Character and very clean this is the place. Better than any hotel and I have stayed at some very nice hotels. Location is perfect. Close to Old Montreal and St. Catharines street. Thanks Micheal for a great stay. Your place is wonderful! We will be back in early...

First of all, Jonathan is fabulous. He hauled our huge luggage up to the third floor and never lost his smile. He answered every question we had and brought in a huge fan when we said it was warm for us. If you're going to be there in the summer, ask for a lower floor. Heat rises. The room was...

We had stayed here before, but had not been back to Montreal in a decade. The charm of this place has not changed. Our European friends thought it was heavenly compared to the other hotels we had used in Ottawa and Quebec. And you can't beat the location...easy walk to old Montreal, rue St. Denis restaurants, a subway stop at...

We spent three nights here. Good location. Can walk to the Metro or Old Montreal easily. Room was comfortable. Also used the hot tub once; towels are located in hot tub room so you don't have to use room towels. Good breakfast with items from owner's farm. Lovely patio garden out back. The sun deck on the roof might be...

Great b&b--we went because of the review and they were spot on. We particularly loved the back garden, the breakfast choices, and the staff. Our room (2 beds, shared bath) was terrific. I won't stay on the third floor again but otherwise we'll be back.

Very surprised when I entered this turn of the century brownstone. The attention paid in maintaining it's elegant charm while at the same time bringing it up to date and "modern" was amazing. The Manager Jonathan could not have been more accommodating and helpful. A wonderful continental breakfast was served in the lower most level (cellar) with tables and chairs...

Staying in Olympic Park & Hochelaga-Maisonneuve (HoMa)

Neighbourhood Profile
Olympic Park & Hochelaga-Maisonneuve (HoMa)
Named for the Olympic Stadium complexes built for the 1976 games, the Olympic Park and the surrounding neighbourhood of Hochelaga-Maisonneuve (HoMa) make up an invigorated area dedicated to "Space for Life." Around the Olympic Village's arenas and stadiums, Rue Sherbrooke welcomes exploration of its sculpture gardens decorated in the works of Jean-Paul Riopelle and its museum culture headed by the historical Château Dufresne. Maisonneuve Park offers interactive experiences at its bio-dome, insectarium, planetarium, and botanical gardens. For a change of scene, the gentrified space along Rue Ontario Est is packed with the city's newest, edgiest cafes, where an imaginative, youthful crowd sips foamy cappuccinos. A visit here is incomplete without stepping into the vast halls of the Maisonneuve Market, with flower stalls, wine depots, and local produce.
