Unfortunately, nothing about this hotel was satisfactory other than the fact that it was close to the subway station. The hotel manager was rude and informal(does not speak french, and speaks very poor english), there was one hot water on one of the two nights we stayed there, the television was not working (which is apparently an often occurrence), we... Clean....but cable and internet wasn't working the whole time we were there on a weekend.....Would of been nice to have one or the other in the evening before lights out....no soap for the shower but there is hand soap. There is no heaters but a plug in heater in the room but the room was warm. Very old and poor... More

Not too bad. Clean, close to the subway, affordable. We had the 2bdrm apartment. Could deffinately use some fixing up and general maintenance, but overall not bad. Owners are never at the desk and door is always locked, so don't expect great service. I'd stay again.

The Hotel charge a cancellation fee, which I accepted the time of booking. I had to cancel my booking and waited for a refund minus fee. But be informed they refund nothing. I cannot write about the Hotel itself. My 1 Point is just for the refuse to refund, though there were many reminders of booking.com to the hotel.

We stayed here in October 2014. We did not have a chance to read any reviews beforehand; we booked on the fly as we were driving into Montreal. The room we booked was defined as "large". The double bed almost touched each wall but was very comfortable. The room came with a small round bistro table and two chairs. The... More

We arrived 22.00. The doors locked, no one to open the door. We have a baby in the car, outside pretty cold, you get the picture. The guy gives us the key to a room where someone is staying, wow. There is no parking near the hotel. The beds are small, no soap in the shower. Please, just pay couple... More

I found the hotel through a travel search engine and saw positive reviews about it on TripAdvisor. It is basically in Le Village and so close to Beri-UQAM Metro. So I booked it, and have no regrets. The price I found was quite reasonable for a well-cared-for lodging. Just know that you can't check in earlier than their 4pm time,... More

Staff were friendly and helpful. Great comfy single room with all amenities included. My only complaint was that the TV needed repair, but it's not a big deal, as I didn't spend my whole day watching TV anyway. Wifi would be nice if it was a little less complicated to use. Continental breakfast that was served in the mornings was... More

Staying in The Village (Gay Village)

Neighbourhood Profile
The Village (Gay Village)
The rainbow pillars of Beaudry Métro Station shepherd the way into to The Village, one of the largest hubs for gay and lesbian culture in North America. With an open layout and a congenial aura, the refurbished buildings along Rue Sainte-Catherine pay a special homage to menswear and to caffeine, with showrooms and cafes. By morning, the antiquing gems along Amherst Street are packed with collectors. An incredible party spot, The Village comes alive at night, when clubs, bars, and dance halls open their doors and the revelry is high, epitomised by the fanciful trimmings of the apropos Oscar Wilde building. From May to September, the area closes to automotive traffic, allowing restaurant terraces to pour onto the streets, creating a dynamic sense of community. Les Boules Roses, thousands of pink baubles, are hung to welcome in the festivals and celebrations, including Montréal en Arts, Divers-Cité, and the Pride Parade.
